No more pet stink in the house. Seriously.
This is long, apologies. TLDR: IT WORKS. I used it in my carpet steam cleaner and it removed all the pet mess stink in my house from handmade wool rugs. No lingering chemical or perfume smell left afterwards.THE ENTIRE STORY:I regularly dog sit for my best friend. Her dog, Seamus, is a very handsome 7-year old beagle. However, I’ve learned the hard way, any stress, anxiety, or minor deviation is announced by something gross coming out of Seamus inside my home. This means, poop, pee, vomit. Sometimes, a mix of the three. It usually subsides after two or three days but that equates to cleaning up a fair share of dog mess.I have a bissell crosswave that’s been a beast on my hardwood floors cleaning up after Seamus. However, a few months ago, he went home but every time I walked inside my house, I still smelled “dog mess”.I went on the epic home search for hidden dog mess. After much internet searching, and the purchase of a Wood’s flashlight, I discovered an unwanted treasure trove of evidence that Seamus had used my expensive, hand-woven wool rugs for peeing.(HIGHLY recommend getting a Wood’s light. It’s a specific blacklight wavelength that shows proteins - like anything that comes out of a dog, human, etc. Don’t use in your bathroom if you’re a clean freak.)I also have a bissell pet carpet steam cleaner. It’s frequently said that you shouldn’t use it on wool rugs like mine, but over the years, I found a solution and setting that worked well for me. It extended the time between professional cleanings. (Caveat: they’re expensive rugs but they’re not 100+ year old Persian Heriz rugs. I wouldn’t recommend doing any self-service on rugs in that price range. Too many variables.)I used my regular setup and cleaned the offending areas on the rugs. I could NOT get the smell out. The cleaning solution was coming back clear in the steam cleaner but the smell persisted. If you ever had a pet and they’ve had a stinky accident, you know what I’m talking about.More internet research, and I had decided on using an enzyme cleaner.Great. Problem solved, right? The pet specific enzyme solutions are insanely expensive per ounce. I was going to be broke simply purchasing enough enzyme cleaner for the rugs given their size and areas of dog pee.Guess what I did? MORE research and found that enzyme cleaners are used in many industries and they’re sold in bulk quantities that are much more price point friendly per ounce.I looked at a lot of brands before deciding on this one. I read their company website’s in-depth analysis of what goes into their enzyme cleaners, how they test them before going to market, and how they’re used in different industries.I figured, if it couldn’t handle my stinky rug situation, I would probably be SOL.Package arrived, gallon bottles were well-packaged and in perfect condition. (You never know what will happen shipping liquids.)I said a prayer, diluted the enzyme cleaner more than was necessary since I’d never used it before, and used it in a clean spray bottle to soak the offending spots. I placed damp towels over the sprayed areas to keep them moist. I let it sit for 8 hours. Then, filled the steam cleaner with the diluted solution and got to work.IMMEDIATELY NOTICED A DIFFERENCE!The dirty cleaning solution being sucked back up was filthy. It took many passes and a couple hours to clean all of the rugs. I turned fans on to help them dry.The next day, I did the inspection. Which entailed leaving the house for a while so I wasn’t nose blind to the smell. When I returned home, I was shocked. Not only was there no whiff of dog pee but the house smelled of NOTHING. No fragrance, no cleaning chemical smell, absolutely nothing.I stuck my face up to the rugs. No smell. Not a trace. I did a celebration dance, I cried tears of joy, and high fived myself.I’ve since found a myriad of other ways to put this godsend to use.Mildewed towels? Gym clothes that never smell completely fresh after many washes? Weird smell in your car? Want to freshen up your outdoor furniture cushions?Use this stuff.I dilute it in a bucket and presoak anything that can fit in the washing machine.I use it diluted in the steam cleaner and use the handheld attachment in the car and on outside cushions.I’m still finding new uses for it.I know I used this outside of the scope most are purchasing for but I wanted to let anyone out there that has a stinky situation that they haven’t been able to resolve… this is what you need.Good luck slaying the stench. You’ve got this.

Works great 👍
I foster small dogs for a rescue. I have 2 rooms with carpet, and this product works great on pee and feces stains . It also removes the odor.

Worth the purchase
Bought this for cat urine and puppy accidents and it definitely works wonders. I was tired of using vinegar and my whole house having that awful smell so I got this instead. Definitely worth the purchase.

This smells so mild and fresh
Why does this smell so damn good?? I have a hard time with so many cleaners and breathing but this was so mild and fresh. I have a cat that has the worst aim and pee runs down the inside and outside of the litter box, and the wall. I have used everything to get the smell out, nothing works, I used this a few days ago on the wall and floor where the box is. No smell. I'm going to clean everything I can with this, I'm going to wash my couch cover in this, smells like stinky dog and teenage boy. I love you, I may actually get all the floors done without dieing this winter. Wow, I definitely recommend. Also, I didn't realize this was carpet, it left no residue on my tile and I just used water to go over it after. Although my pets don't potty around my house, they still leave smells, kids do too and although I at first used the product wrong, I'm still amazed at how well it works and smells

Works great
As some of you know those pesky cats and dogs do have accidents in the house. This added to the wash/carpet cleaner removes all smells. For those that have infants yes it removes the pee and poop from your clothing. Vomit what vomit? If you have a g-tube kid you know how bad getting that formula out of anything is. Not with this as long as you get it in the wash no issues. We love this product, our puppy hates this product as she can't find where she peed..

Stinks
I bought this because I have 2 dogs who cannot seem to avoid accidents on our carpets. Not only does it not get rid of the lingering pee smell, I think I hate the way this smells just as much as the dog piss. It literally makes me nauseous. Total waste of time and money.

Not my favorite Odoban Product
Its definitely a quality odoban product, but it is not my favorite. I definitely still prefer the Eucalyptus.
