Great yogurt maker. Easy to use, effective and holds temp.
I've had IBS, SIBO, and IMO for decades. Using Dr. Google for the last few months meant I finally ended up on the CarnivoreDietCoach.com website and found he has gone through the same problem and come out healthy enough to eat fruit and other foods, not just meat. So his suggestion was to go carnivore for a week to put IBS in hibernation, then use trillions of CFU's of Lactobacillus Gasseri, Lactobacillus Reuteri to rebuild my gut biome and also to kill off the SIBO with trillions of CFU's of Bacillus Coagulans at the same time. Since the best pills have 5 or 6 billion CFU's of each product that meant making yogurt. Using the 5 billion CFU pills in this machine for 36 hours allows the CFU's to double every 3 hours or 12 times. Thus the 5 or 6 billion CFU's become roughly 10 trillion CFU's in 36 hours less whatever die-off is going on. Apparently, after 36 hours they die off faster than they grow. Then I put the yogurt in the fridge and use it over a week or so. This yogurt maker works great and stayed within 2 degrees F of the requested temperature every time I tested it over a 36-hour run. The yogurt came out very tasty (almost hard to stop eating it). I bought the 2 extra containers to be able to make a 2nd batch while finishing the first batch and thus never running out. The hardest part was realizing I really did have to sterilize the lids and containers as well as the spoon, whip and mixing container to avoid contamination. I have no complaints. Some have complained about no minutes shown on the timer, but I don't care. When it's done it shuts off. It needs to cool on the counter for 2 hours +/- anyway so that doesn't bother me at all. Some complain about a difficult program entry system. I went through that on the attached video and I think it's very simple. I had no problems with it on the 1st batch and remembered it easily for the 2nd batch. It says it has a Lifetime Warranty, for whatever that is worth, if you submit it. I think the protocol mentioned above originally came from Dr. William Davis' Book "Super Gut" I hope this helps some of you all.

Great Yogurt Maker - UPDATE: it's better than I thought! I would give it TEN stars if I could.
I have made yogurt at home for many years, but it has always been difficult to get the right temperature, length of incubation, etc. I was about ready to give up and then I found this Ultimate Probiotic Yogurt Maker. It makes everything so easy, and most importantly makes it consistent. No more wondering if the water is too hot or too cold. It is very easy to use and very flexible - you can set the temperature and length of incubation and it will always be done correctly. I have now started experimenting with using powdered milk vs. whole milk, etc. This makes it very easy to try different approaches and compare them. I am totally sold on this machine! UPDATE: Members of my house like yogurt a lot, and especially from this machine. I have now developed a pattern that allows me to make a batch in 7 minutes: I put 6 cups of milk in a pitcher (I marked a line on the patcher to make it quick and easy), add 2 cups of powered milk, 3 tablespoons of sugar, and some yogurt starter (Danon, Chobani, Fage, etc.). Stir up the mixture and put in the machine and add water from another pitcher I marked to give just enough to fill the machine tank to the right level, then set for 111 degrees F, 13 hours, and let the machine do the rest. It seems to work best to let the yogurt cool to room temperature and then put it in the fridge the yogurt is a bit firmer this way. This has been a home run and my housemates love it. The only problem and I have to make a batch at least every other day. Some people say that whole milk makes better yogurt, but that process is so long I can't afford the time. This is very quick and the product is loved by all. I tried using the whey from batches as starter for the next batch and I went through 7 generations. The quality seemed to decline over time, but I will give it another try. I also tried using the yogurt itself from one batch to start the next, but that also seemed to decline over time. I'm continuing to test that. This machine is AWESOME and makes the process very fast and virtually fool-proof.

Excellent customer service!
I didn't know that making my own yogurt would be so easy! I have a friend that has an Ultimate Probiotic Yogurt Maker and when I taste the yogurt, I was hooked. Came home after visiting and ordered one of my own. After emailing the company with a question I had regarding how to start my yogurt with a very quick response,I set it up opting to make a small batch for starters. Unfortunately there must have been a defect in my unit as 30 minutes later there was water leaking out. I said the unit on beach towels and let it continue even though the water was leaking out. And I still ended up with a very nice batch of yogurt! I contacted the company and told them what happened. They were very responsive, had me fill out a quick form online, and shipped out a new unit for me promptly. I have to say that nowadays you don't see excellent customer service as often as we used to. This company is upstanding. I would recommend them wholeheartedly. Since that first batch I have made several batches with no problems at all! I am a homemade yogurt convert! :)

The ultimate yogurt maker like it’s named!
After reading the book Super Gut by Dr. William Davis (which I highly recommend) I purchased a yogurt maker from the small list of programmable yogurt makers available that the book provides. That yogurt maker came with exceptionally badly translated instructions, a limited warranty, and no contact information for product support. The yogurt I made with it also tested ten degrees hotter than I set the thermostat for, which resulted in a curdled product with a high likelihood of mostly dead probiotic cultures. I returned it. While looking for another programmable yogurt maker, I came across this one which was not included in the book because it appears to have been released after the book was written. I ordered it and am sure glad I did. The instructions for this yogurt maker are excellent, it has a lifetime warranty, and customer support includes video instruction and a toll-free helpline. And the yogurt it makes - WOW. Not only does the temperature come out exactly as the thermostat is set, the yogurt is incredibly creamy and delicious. After tasting it, two other friends have purchased Ultimate yogurt makers. There are very few yogurt makers out there that allow you to ferment for more than 24 hours, which is needed to culture a therapeutic amount of beneficial probiotic bacteria, and this one is top quality besides. I highly recommend this product if you have read Super Gut and are following the protocol and using the recipes, or if you just want really healthy and delicious “custom” yogurt. You will never eat store-bought yogurt again.

This is the ideal yogurt maker. Great quality, and superior customer service
I recently got back into making homemade yogurt for gut health, and wasn't able to find my cheap old maker. So I began searching for alternatives. I discovered that the lower cost units were problematic, noting lots of reviews about quality issues, temperature not accurate, etc. I considered the Instant Pot route, but it doesn't provide for the variety of temperatures I wanted, for culturing various strains for gut health. Ultimately, I settled on this one, and I'm glad I did. It is a perfect size for me, allowing me to make up to 2 quarts at a time. It even includes two very nice containers (or an option for individual size containers if you want), with covers. I made my first test batch, carefully checking the temperature at intervals, and always found it to be right on the money. It's compact, just big enough to house the two containers. It is easy to operate. You have to read the instructions, but it's easier than programming the clock on my microwave. And allows for a wide variety of temperatures, and a nice built-in timer that can be set for the longer culture times desired for gut-health yogurts. I had occasion to contact support for a couple of questions I had regarding the culturing of yogurt and for claiming the surprise bonus offer of additional containers. Support responded promptly to address my questions and were very helpful. It is clear that they care about customer service. Lifetime warranty, just be sure to register it, which is easy to do. What more can you ask for? Very happy with my purchase.

Really glad this product was conceived, but execution is locking
10/19/24 It functions quite well. It is nice to have. I believe my sibo yogurt is helping me. But instead of celebrating what I have, I am inspired by small annoyances to complain. 1. There is no power switch. There is no auto off for the led display. One has to yank the plug out, to turn it off. 2. It is not at all intuitive how to operate it. Without a manual, there is no way one can figure it out. 3. It has no feedback to tell you: " All is set correctly! And the machine is hard at work, making your yogurt". After you follow instructions, it just sits there. There is a certain led combination that are lit. And with a few tries, you say: " ah, it is on, working". But it does not give you any explicit feedback. 4. It says it comes with two 32 oz containers. But after I filled it up, almost to the point of 1/8" before it will spill, I could not fit at least 1 cup, from a 64 oz milk container. Whenever I buy a pot, 32 oz, 64 oz, 1 gal, whatever, you can fill that amount, and there is another 1" left, before it starts spilling. Not here. There is no buffer at all. If you fill 64 oz, then the next drop will overflow. After I recount all these niggles, I just want to say: " commoooooooooon ! Wtf ? But I was tempering my self, until just now. 5. Same thing with the machine volume. If I fill up the pots, I need to fill the machine to the same level as the pot. When I do that, the water is nearly spilling out of the machine. In addition, the water comes up right up to the top of the yogurt pot cover. If cover is not 100%, your yogurt will be taking on water. To the seller/manufacturer: pleeeeeeeeeease, make a better machine than just functional. It is sooooo close to being great. Also, I want to make a gallon of yogurt at a time. Can we pleeeeeease get a bigger and better machine? Thank you, ahead of time.

Loving this device!
I received this mew machine and could not wait to try it! It is everything I had hoped for! So easy to use and directions are clear and concise. I mixed up the recipe I had, pushed a few buttons to set temperature and time and let it work. My first attempt came out perfect and my husband and I are enjoying being able to eat yogurt made with our own raw milk. The bowls are great and easy to clean. I got the quart bowls and now I will be receiving the smaller jars as part of a promotion. I am over the moon about this because now I can make each small jar a different flavor if I want to. Cannot thank this company enough for designing such a great tool to promote good health! I highly recommend that if you want a consistent, versatile machine to help in your quest for health, this is the best one I could find and the price is very reasonable. Big plus too: totally love that if I dont like it or there is a defect, it is backed up by a great refund/return policy. That gave me peace of mind to order.

Very unhappy with this product
First of all it is not one day deliver to get this with Prime. Secondly I ordered the first one and after I had everything ready, a quart of milk in each containers along with fresh starter in each, I reread the instructions for putting them in the unit and starting it up. Then I notice a crack down one side and across part of the bottom. I boxed it up and took it back to the UPS store. The seller was responsive but it was a few more days until I got the new one. Once again I was excited about trying this. I washed everything, checked the unit for any cracks. It was all go. Poured fresh milk and a culture starter in each container and put them in the unit. I set the temperature and the time. Yea, it worked. Two hours into the yogurt making and an alarm starts sounding and an E1 appears on the display. I try to reset it, no luck. I looked through the information they sent for trouble shooting but no such thing. I go to their website and click on live chat, no one is there. I sit with the live chat open for 2 hours and even though the message says they will help as soon as possible no one every comes. I call their phone number listed and no one answers but I can leave a message. I emailed and explained the problem but get no answer. I tried resetting the unit but the E1 would go off for a few seconds and come back on. I spent hours trying to solve this not counting the milk and starters that I wasted. So this morning I will once again make a trip to the UPS store and turn this back in. I do have to say that the box this one came in very suspiciously looked like it was used, maybe it was not but I wonder. This whole ordeal is very frustrating.

Not for the UK market.
This is an American domestic voltage appliance. Why it is being allowed to be sold in a UK market is very poor. I would imagine some people may try and use an adaptor to get it to work. This would be a terrible idea.. not safe at all. The seller needs to adjust the photographs to indicate that it is not for the UK market. They are being deceptive.

Great product!
Knew nothing about making yogurt prior to buying this. Was amazed how easy it was to do. Lots of direction and recipes for different cultures, depending on what you are looking for. Comes with your choice of either 8 small glass jars or 2 glass bowls. Both work great. Also comes with free lifetime warranty. Would highly recommend this product.

No Fuss with Perfect Results
I never knew making yogurt could be so easy!! I've made yogurt in the oven trying to maintain a correct temperature using the light; and I've made yogurt in a crock pot with mixed results. It was ALWAYS a hassle, to the point I simply stopped making it. But the Ultimate IS the Ultimate!! Wash and sterilize the nice size containers it comes with, prepare your milk and probiotics, fill the jars, add water to yogurt level, set the PERFECT temperature... and walk away!! If you're recipe is highly temp sensitive, set to desired temp, and use an instant read thermometer to check. One degree can make the difference between a dead or live culture.

Yoghurt forever
Great little machine, yoghurts are turning out great whether it be probiotic or just a straightforward basic yoghurt. Found gold top mixed with some of the previous batch to give the nicest results. It is American so is two pin. You will need a step down inverter to run it if you want it to last.

Excelente producto
