4.5 stars, give it 5 stars after an earthquake if they work. These plates are much easier to put on than hooks and wire so that is nice. You have to drill the plates onto the frame (two plates with two screws on each plate). Then you drill the two magnets onto the wall (one screw each). That's it. They give a little leeway to move around as well so easier for spacing, leveling and aligning. They are super strong, especially if you put on two sets for large frames (over 24 inches or 15 pounds). They also sit nice and flat against the wall as well so a cleaner look than a wire hangar. Only downside is the price, at around fifteen dollars each it is very expensive to set up an entire house with them.

This was even easier than I'd hoped! I don't usually write reviews, but I wanted to speak up. I'm a single mom & have to tackle projects on my own. The magnet system makes it super easy to hang a frame and adjust it - without anyone helping you. I hope I don't have to test the earthquake guarantee, but hey, I feel safer with the kids running around & banging into walls!
