The cables are hard wired and a bit short to be honest...and the tips are a bit small too (but might be useful to ensure you don't accidentally short them).

This is not a toy unlike other budget meters. We have tested this against calibrated power supplies, fluke multimeters, resistors etc. This is the most accurate and stable multimeter out there. OK, leads have short tips and are fixed but at least they are calibrated for this meter, hence outstanding accuracy.Initially I bought it for my son to introduce him to electronics, but after all of the testing we did I will be ordering several of these for our lab. Well recommended.

I have a full spec multimeter as part of my job, but this unit is much more transportable and does basically everything I normally need to measure.Fits in a corner of the toolbox

I had an identical meter (but with a different brand name) which lasted for years so this is an ideal replacement. My only criticism is that compared to the old model, the actual metal electrodes are very short which makes them more difficult to use.

Too flimsy, not accurate, leads too short.

I like the way the leads fold around the meter, which keeps it tidy. Works well, though the selector switch is a bit fiddly. Overall good value for money.
