Super strong handle and easy to DIY
United Airlines destroyed the handle on my luggage ripping off 3 owner tags and the airline tag. As a result for a week my bag went from Detroit to Belgium to Puerto Vallarta and eventually home to San Francisco. The airline was no help in locating the bag, in fact, they still think it's lost. We were saved because my wife put a giant piece of paper inside with all our contact information on it. Some nice woman in Mexico called us and got the bag to us. So I researched replacement handles. This was not an exact match and I had to use my DIY skills to get it on my bag but it worked beautifully. I had to disassemble the remnants of the old handle. I was ably to use one hole on each side but needed to drill the other hole to make it work. It took about 10 minutes total time. This new handle matches the look and even looks fancier. It's incredibly sturdy, much better than the old handle. Untiled would have to rip off the entire top of the suitcase to lose this, again. It comes with the screws and washer's you'll need.

Identical looking handle and looks great on my Samsonite like the original.
Arrived today, and it is like an identical to what broke on my luggage by TSA folks at the Airport. What an experience after a long delayed flight, as I was walking to baggage claim I saw my luggage at a distance and wonder what was sticking up black like a thick satellite antenna. Yep that was my luggage handle that they broke. On a Samsonite too, must of been a very big gorilla like in the old Samsonite commercial. LOL.I was so happy to found an exact duplicate handle and installed it easily. Now the only thing that was a minor negative is that the bolts and washer that comes with it is too short bolt and the washer are too small. I saved my original bolt and washers which were the right length and also the washer were fender washers that were wider washers. Here is a picture of the broken Samsonite handle and a picture of the new handle installed on my Samsonite Luggage. Looks and works great!!!.

Incorrect screws
This seems so simple to install. I had to take a few breaks because ir was so frustrating. They send two different sizes of screws. A countersink screw that is too short and a capped screw that is too long.I also didn't do a very good job lining the holes up to drill through the suitcase. Oh, I added this handle because my suitcase only had a handle on the top.Lay out your handle where everything will go and lay masking tape over it to pop holes in the tape EXACTLY where they need to be. Remove the tape and place it on your suitcase exactly where you want the handle. Then drill the holes where they need to be. I eyeballed it and its crooked.

Screws Stripped Out
The handle itself is perfect. Just the right size, exactly the same style as the one that broke off. It's sturdy and will easily last the life of the suitcase. However the four screws that came with the kit were absolutely worthless. Each and every single one of them stripped out before I could get them halfway in. They were poorly or incorrectly threaded and made out of cheap metal. I had to unscrew all four of them with pliers. Thankfully I had the original screws from the suitcase. Once I got the bad screws out, I put them old screws in and everything worked perfectly. A job that should have taken me five minutes to install, instead took thirty.Buyer beware. Keep your original hardware or suffer the consequences.

Good quality, even better if manual was provided
Exactly what I was looking for. Good quality material and construction.Pay attention to the sizes on the pictures (the measurements between the screw holes on the most outside, and between the two screw holes on each of the handle base) to match your screw holes on your luggage, if happen that you ordered don't fit, just drill a new holes. It would be even better if an instruction or manual is provided. I'm an engineer, so it wasn't very difficult for me to figure out how to assembly all the parts correctly. One more thing, don't throw away the plate base behind/inside the luggage. You'll needed for the base for the screws, otherwise your handle won't last long as overtime it will damage the skin of the luggage.

Worked for a great repair
The airport ramp monkeys managed to destroy my suitcase lift handle on my last flight. This product enabled me to use the existing holes to replace the broken handle. I did however have to open up the hole size a bit as the screws were of a larger diameter. I also added washere for added security. I finished the repair project with gaffers tape to make sure the screws don't vibrate loose over time. I had noticed that the original bag manufacturer had done that as well. The handle has a decent rubber cushion grip and seems to be well made. Make sure you measure carefully to select the right one for you.

Easy to install, nice quality
Airline damaged suitcase handle. It was not covered by their policy. They nice lady at the claims desk said the handles are for sale on Amazon, bought this and it worked great. Be very careful when measuring that you get the correct size and you shouldn't have any problems. This handle was of comparable quality to the one that was damaged by the handlers. For a few bucks this solved our problem and was little to no hassle.

a good replacement
The airline that handled my luggage broke not only one, but both my handles on my luggage. I don't even know how that did that, but it happened. They did compensate me for the damaged luggage though. So I continued to travel with the same luggage for a while, but not having any handles on my large luggage became somewhat annoying. so I ordered a replacement handle. It's surprising how many different luggage handle sizes there are. So make sure you order the right one. The hangle arrived with two different screw sets short & long. Otherwise, it's a good replacement piece. I was hoping it would be cheaper, but oh well.
