Mxfans White N.O. Magnetic Proximity Contact Reed Switch AC 110-220V for Door

The media could not be loaded.  I bought these to use in a closet and they work perfectly. The directions stink, and I couldn't figure out just what they were trying to say, so I just did it the way it made sense to me and it works well. I put in two switches on a two door closet and wired them either/or, not 3-way. Very effective on a 4' LED fixture. The pictures show one door open and one door closed for reference. As can be seen, I just shortened the door stop to account for the switches. These are a little pricey to me for a simple reed switch, but I could get them quickly with Prime, so I was willing. For sharp eyed folk, I used those hinges that open the doors completely out of the doorway for better access. These switches did not interfere and are no more intrusive than the door stop.

Wired this up to a 12 volt motor for a school project and it worked for about 30 seconds during testing then died. Very low quality.

I installed these on multiple closet doors to automatically turn on lights when the doors are open. lightweight and reliable, can be installed in line with 120v bulbs. I used a max of two 9.5 watt LED bulbs (.16 amps).attached with double sided tape, works like a charm.would buy again.edit: I installed 4 of these in 3 closets, one failed but possibly due to a pinched wire, replaced it and seems to work well now.edit 2: the remaining 3 have all failed within a year, when the last one failed I replaced it with the same type of product from another manufacturer which was more expensive (+$2, it's even a different color). so the 3 remaining have not failed, and neither has the more expensive one.I would not purchase these again, they don't seem to survive daily use with small LED light amperages.

After I installed, I had a weird flicker in the lights. The listing said this is a 120v magnetic reed switch. After some research, reed switches of this size are not 120v. So, I could have burned my house down. Well, after a week, the switch quit working.

Needed some extra lights around the edge of my garage door to make it easier to see while backing out. I wired this into some old Christmas string lights, and when the garage door opens, the lights come on. Another way might be to wire directly to the socket for the garage door light, but I didn't have that option because my opener has a motion sensor (which I like) that turns that light on every time you walk into the garage. Thus, the around door lights would have come on with the motion sensor and I didn't want that. So, this worked out great.

The switches do not work. Tested with meter and they do not open or close with the contacts. Should have read reviews before purchasing.

Two in a row that didn't work, I'm not trying a third. I'd recommend you keep shopping too. Obviously no quality control wherever these are made.Amazon was quick with the first replacement, and return was painless.

I was sceptical when I saw the wires.But it is working fine without any sign of overheat.It is only 1 week since it is installed and now my wife is asking to install it to all closets.

Does not work. Before installing this switch in our motorhome I decided to test it on the bench. I tried every possible position or the switch and magnet but it never worked once. Waste of time and money.

Good quality, as described, to be used as a cabinet door switch.
