I retract my previous negative review of this product
UPDATE: I had previously written a negative review of this product complaining about "flickering" and then the bulb going completely dead, but after testing the bulb in other outlets, I determined that the issue was with my pool light fixture (which I believe had been subject to moisture). My recommendation to others (and what seems to be "standard operating procedure") is to replace the lens gasket (which I had not done). I redeployed the bulb and have used the light on two seperate occasions with success. I am extremely pleased with the brightness and clarity that the light projects. My test sample size is extremely small, so I promise to update this review after the next pool season (or sooner should there be the need). So would I recommend this bulb? Yes, with the caveat that the user replace the lens gasket as well.

Perfect replacement
I had in the past, replaced the pool light, and never had any luck with longevity. Most I got was 2 seasons. With this I am very happy with the performance. So far so good! I would recommend this one.

Absolutely Perfect Replacement!
Our pool is about 60 years old and I believe the bulb that blew last year is the original bulb. This LED bulb is a perfect replacement and illuminates the pool every bit as well as the original - but with considerably less power consumption. Installation was a matter of removing the light housing from the pool, open the housing, unscrew the old buld and screw in the new bulb and reassemble. I did go ahead and replace the lens gasket, as well (It's recommend one does this). Now, will this bulb last 60 years? I'm afraid I won't be around to report ;)

Easy as changing a lightBulb
***Update*** Bulb has burned out with less than 20 hours of use. Sad to say since it was such a great deal. We will be looking elsewhere for the next bulb we use.Super easy install. MAKE SURE you get a brand new seal. Light projects amazingly well for the price. We where quoted 587$ to fix the light. 😂. Spent around 120$ for all the parts , new glass, new seal and new Bulb ! Took 20 min or less

Great pool light for the price.
The beam is a bit focused for a single bulb pool so it's hard to weigh it against the 400w bulb it replaced. I like the color temperature and it's bright enough to fill the pool, but the hotspot in the center is much more focused than the incandescent built it replaced. I am happy that 45w is enough compared to sucking down 400 watts though and it is closer to 45 though I don't know how much is the transformer loss and how much is the actual LEDs.The last incandescent bulb only lasted a year, hopefully this does better.

Nice Cool bright light
White bright LED light. It gives your pool a Nice and Cool look. Way better than a regular flood bulb. I'm not sure how long it will last but for $39 LED bulb, it's a win. Make sure u also get a new gasket and sealant to make sure that no water will get in the fixture. I will recommend.

Much brighter than the 300 watt incandescent bulp that I replaced. Hopefully it will last.

Great light
Best part is this light is energy efficient. Uses way less energy than the standard incandescent bulb that was with the original install. Only used it for about a month now. It does have a small shadow as others have mentioned but the picture makes it look dark. The shadow is just a less lit area. The best part is the first photo gives the most accurate look of the water. My pool finish is French gray mini for reference.
