The tailgate came in on time, but it was not flawless. Some of the paint was chipped off on the side, & the upper inside edge was slightly bent. I will have to address this with more paint because if I do not it will chip off continuously I’ve noticed . The paint color did match my vehicle fine, and it fit my truck great, however. The quality of the tailgate itself is not the same as the original tailgate. Other reviews have also stated this. It’s actually pretty flimsy. If I climb into the back of my tailgate it will bend under my weight and I weigh 185lbs. I do intend to coat the inside of the tailgate with a bedliner product. And I would suggest that to anyone that gets one of these if they intend to use their truck like a truck. The paint scratches very easily as it is not clear coated. Is it worth the money? I’m reluctant to say 100% yes, but I guess I would have to agree that you get what you pay for. I drive an older truck, so this will work for me. I just wish that it was made with heavier materials. The best thing about it is I didn’t have to shell out over $1000 to get my tailgate replaced.

Not a bad tailgate for the price, But .....The paint job is horrible. Looks like painter tried a fade job. Not near enough paint applied. Looks very splotchy all over the main outer skin. Looks like a cheetah print. All the jambs and ends look fine. Just not happy with the paint. Took about 14 days to arrive. Would have given 5 stars if the paint wasent an issue.Update, 5-12-17 MBI, sent out another replacement tail gate, took about 2 weeks to arrive. The paint on this one was better, however still not acceptable. Still had a splotchy spot in center of gate, and vertical lines on left side from what looks like the plastic was wrapped around gate before paint fully cured. Nevertheless they stood behind the product. Gave a full refund. Easy to deal with, and great customer service. Will give them another try in the future due to willingness to correct the problem, with no issues at all.

Cheap crap. The paint had some chips in it, and was brittle, as the paint shattered around the bolts when I tried to install the latch hardware. The passenger side was dished in so far that the latch wouldn't hit the striker correctly and the gate wouldn't latch so I had to put washers under the striker pin. The whole gate is out of spec enough that it sits too far to the left and I had to throw away tailgate assist because it would rub. For the price however, it will do the job on this old truck and get it back on the road.

I ordered this Tailgate on April 13 2021 and it was delivered on April 18 2021. Item was in perfect shape. Packaging was exceptional. No dents, scratches or dings! Paint was perfect and matched perfectly!!! I recommend this Seller to anyone who needs a painted tailgate!

Tailgate arrived quickly and paint color match was good. The metal weight and strength are the issues. As you close the tailgate you will notice how much lighter it is. I dented the inside of the tailgate just by stepping on it and I’m not nearly as heavy as the things I normally put on a tailgate. If you are just needing a tailgate in order to sell your truck, I guess this would be an okay solution. It you want a durable tailgate, with comparable strength to the factory unit, keep looking.

Daimler, in their infinite wisdom, created two Bright metallic silver paint codes PS2 & PSB so be careful. They took back my original with paid shipping so good for returns. The next one I received had a dent on it but it'll be covered by my bedliner. Material is thinner than stock so we'll see how long it lasts.

Big dent right above handle, smoke in the middle. Because I was traveling I really had no other choice but to put it on and go. It does not fit flush with my truck either, in all fairness that might be due to I have no prior knowledge to install the tail gate. Really thing metal (aluminum). Paint job excellent.
