Extremely poor build quality
In short, avoid due to abysmal build quality.First, the good points. Upon receipt, my first thought was that these are very handsome ear buds. The wood highlight makes for a very attractive offering. The included case and kit included every possible accessory and would make for an excellent companion for a laptop case. The factory installed medium tips fit my ear well, and a set of 3 other sizes insure that they will fit in most other ears as well.My initial listing included listening to The sound seemed quite good. I used the track Aerith's Theme as played by the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Arnie Roth from the Final Fantasy: Distant Worlds album. the sound seemed very well balanced, without the overbearing base bias common in many popular headphones. The cellos came through with great power without drowning out the piccolos. My next thought was how light it all seemed. The wires, plug, mic unit, and tee split were all extremely light, and apparently very fragile. There is no effective strain relief on any of them. I ordered and returned two separate items from Amazon now, and both had loose wires that would cause the sound to go out unless they were placed just so. This may have been exacerbated by how tightly the wires were wound in the hard case winder, and by the back that the hard components seemed to always sit and the corners, causing sharp bends in the wires. One return is an unfortunate possibility, but two is a design defect. Given how easy they break in basic packaging, I can't image they would last long in normal use if I finally did get a set that arrived in good condition.

Questionable construction, overpowering bass
After doing a fair amount of research, I opted for these but it turns out that the bundled price may disguise the fact that the earbuds themselves are of subpar quality -- they are on their way back due to a non-functional remote which felt like it wouldn't have lasted long anyhow (it felt VERY fragile and has a rubber sheathing that shifts around when you squeeze it.)Other low points:- The bass is much too strong and mids are weak (countering what I'd read about wood earbuds delivering a warmer, balanced sound)- The cables are notably thin- Despite how it may appear online, the combination of various materials is unattractive in-person and leads to a practical concern of all the various seams between them- They stick out quite a bit (definitely not what you'd classify as low profile)I generally try to be balanced and offer the pros of a product, even when it fails, but I'm kind of glad these were defective since I don't think they present a good value. In contrast, the Skullcandy 50/50 earbuds I bought as a replacement are already a great value, with superior sound and construction (though I could do without the chrome bits) despite probably being about equal in cost with the Woodees, factoring out the bundled accessories.

They're either OK or brilliant, I haven't figured out which yet..
They fit great, they sound good, and they look the business, but really for the price I was expecting more - maybe I'm a philistine and can't appreciate how awesome they are, or maybe their response is so clear/neutral that they fade into the background so that I'm not distracted by any obvious flaws. Also, the microphone was really noisy when I initially set things up, I spent a week thinking that the wires were bad or something until I figured out that I needed to mute the mike while not using it (yeah, seems obvious in retrospect, but can drive you up a wall if you're convinced its a loose connection).

Great sound, flimsy, awkard in-line controller
Great sound, flimsy in-line controller. Woodees make a good product. I returned this set and ordered a different Woodees model which have just as great a sound and a proper controller (Woodees IESW100L BLUES ) set with a much durable and easy to use controller. If the Classic Woodees IESW100TK had come with the same in-line controller as the Blues, I would not have returned them. The sound is pretty amazing, on either set.

So so!
I have sony MDR EX700LP and also Sennheiser IE7 earbuds....both are excellent with personal preference more on the sony for me. This gives you the idea that I am expecting more from this earbud for less and from my experience this is not at the level of both sony and sennheiser earbuds that I already own. It's a good travel buddy though......and comes complete with adapters and a good case for airline travel!

Looks Great, Sound So-So
I bought these mainly for the looks, and look good they do. Sound wise, I don't think they sound any better than any number of less expensive plastic models. All the accessories are kinda overkill, but I guess they are nice if you have several different devices you want to use them on.

Very impressed with these headphones
I am an audiophile. I have high end Grado headphones driven by a Grado headphone amp. So I quite critical on the quality of sound.I recently bought the Classic Woodies travel kit to use at work and while travelling. The sound is very good. Well balanced with impressive bass. As well, they do a good job of sound isolation. The headphones look very nice and fit the ear well. The kit is well thought out.The price was excellent.

Woodees Earphones with microphone
I bought this product as a backup for my original Woodees headset, which is still going strong two years after original purchase. This product allows me to listen to music on my iPhone, with a full, rich sound, including amazing base, and still have the capability of answering the phone without changing anything. The Woodees are noise cancelling, and fit very well so they are not constantly falling out of my ears regardless of level of activity. Great for listening to music during workouts in confined spaces. Not so safe for running in open areas, because all you will hear is music, and nothing else. The headset itself is an excellent product, and the travel kit, provides convenient storage and all the accessories a person needs to use it in every circumstance. This is an excellent value that works as advertised.
