I refinish furniture and I use these when I work on china cabinets and hutches. Some of the older clips are bulky and metal and stick out in a bad way. They are clear and blend in better.I had an antique china cabinet that had a glass door with fretwork in it which is really hard to clean. The glass was originally held in with super small quarter round pieces of wood and the world's tiniest nails. Not something you want to keep removing. I took that out and replaced it with these clips so that the owner can easily remove the fretwork and clean the glass. They have a rubber foot on them so you have some play in the depth. I would buy them again.

Be careful if you are trying to match an inset glass panel. While these are advertised as 1/4" inset, there is a barrel under the screw that makes the actual inset 5/64".

I was given an old China cabinet but the old plastic pieces were brittle and breaking. Ordered these and they were perfect! Sturdy, good quality, and no problems with installing.

I had to replace 24 old clips that were brittle and breaking. These clear clips are a small, effective retainer that look nice when installed and are not visible at all from the outside. The screws are already started in the clip making the installation easy while you are holding the clip and glass in place. I actually tested the Rockler high-dollar metal/rubber clips which are very nice but at 14 bucks for 8 clips I liked the Hafele clips fit and look better and the lower price was a real bonus for the number of clips I needed. I would recommend the Hafele clips without reservation unless you don’t care for the clear plastic look but they do make for a very clean installation in my brown oak doors!

It matched the stated dimensions and worked as expected. I was helping my Daughter convert an old entertainment center into a child's bakery center for her Daughter andbused the clips to hold plexiglass in the doors. These clips did the job just fine. I only gave them 4 stars because a couple of the clips were defective in that they were missing the small soft piece that contacts the glass to hold it in place out of the package.

These clips were used to replace clips that had broken over time. They were easy to install and did the job.

Many of the retainer clips that hold in the glass panels of my dining room china cabinet were broken (after multiple military moves). I didn’t exactly know what to call these to even ask about them at a big box store. Saved by the Internet! Make sure you measure the offset before you order. I used my sewing ruler to measure from the level of the cabinet down into the space where the glass began. I did that to find a retainer clip that spanned the appropriate distance to hold the glass in place. These were perfect! They were easy to install and much more sturdy than the original hardware. I am going to count the remaining clips and see if I have enough to replace all of the original ones. They don’t sit as flush as the originals, but my glass panes no longer rattle! Two thumbs up!
