Toradora! (Light Novel) Vol. 4

Ryuuji and friends go a long weekend away to beach villa of Ami's parents. The trip offers Ryuuji an opportunity to grow closer to Minori, or so they hope. The plan does not exactly work as intended. I feel a bit conflicted about this part. There was surprisingly little fan service for a beach episode, but I suppose we got that in volume 3 with the swimming pool and for me that is one of the selling points of the series. I liked most of the humour, but I am not an overly big fan of what happened near the end. It was a bit too obvious of what was going on, and IMO it just made the MC look really stupid in my eyes. I'm loving how the characters I was so used in the anime are getting further flushed out in the light novels (if you think Ami is nasty in the show, read the books)
