Its a great light but remember it only has 1 battery. So it has a shorter run time
What makes this light so good is if you're working with hand tools this light is way easier to hold.If you are wanting a good complementary light to cover with a pistol this is a very good ergonomic lightAnother big plus is the smaller size is way easier to carry, some of my co-workers carrying on key chains that hold lock out keys and the get dropped all the time the lights are pretty robust..

Good EDC Light
I would have given it a higher rating but the price point is a little high for what you get. But, what you get is still a very solid light. I own roughly 8-10 surefires and this one I carry every day.

Worth it
This is my third Surefire. My wife also has two. It was to replace one that I lost, which has since resurfaced. I still have my first one, a C2 (Xenon lamp) that has been through so much and has so many batter scars over the last 15 years it's crazy. They just work. They do like batteries (so have a spare light and some spare batteries).I do like the 'low' power feature of this model. When you're out in the dark, you really don't need more than about 15 lumens to work around a campsite, etc. This will save your batteries. The high output is plenty bright (much more so than the earlier single cell Xenon lights). This one is also small (single 123), so easier to carry in some situations.

Disappointed
I bought this light which was no slouche based on the price tag. I love supporting US companies like Surefire. I have three of their products. Honestly only one of which I'm actually really happy with. This one came busted for me out of the box. On low power, it flickered whether I used momentary or constant on.In my attempts to remedy it with surefire, I will be honest in saying they were willing to make it right. BUT it took over a week of back and forth to make that happen. I wound up returning it through Amazon and getting the replacement before surefire answered back.I hate saying this, but from personal experience you'd be better off going for the Fenix PD25. Smaller, lighter, and though the throw isn't exactly on par with this light, it is plenty of throw for a pocket light, user interface is good, and it is a third of the price.I always try to support US companies, but I don't know if I could endorse this light.Still waiting on the replacement.

Perfect little light for my needs.
I was looking for a small high quality light to carry with me. Its kind of in the name that's what this is for. Its more than bight enough for any practical use besides bragging about lumens. The clip is handy however it may not fit perfectly around a thicker gun belt. But it bends pretty easy tho if you want to fit it on a gun belt. I found it carries really well in my front pocket. I use a larger surefire at work and its lasted me years. Also the light unscrews from the bezel side and NOT the tail cap side like other lights. Its a pretty nice light and I would recommend it for someone looking for a small quality light. The price is steep however it'll last a lifetime and surefire has great customer service which I've tested out before lol

A Match for Anyone Carrying a Firearm
Another quality Surefire product. With this EDCL1-T, Surefire appears to be going back to their roots. Solid knurled aluminum construction, thick TIR lens and sturdy rubber push tail cap.To be able to reach 500 lumens with 1 CR123 lithium is astounding. The push pressure on the tail cap is adjustable by simply tightening or loosening the cap.The 5 lumen lite press on the tail cap is plenty in a dark room to navigate or read up close. The 500 lumens will most definitely light up the room if need be in an instant. The clip is solid and appears it will last. This model is lite enough that although you will feel it in your back jeans pocket, it will not weigh your pants down at all.All in all, this light appears to function decent as an EDC light...however, if you carry a firearm, this is the light you want in your pocket if you need to present both in an emergency.

Surefire quality light
Great flashlight just wish the pocket clip wasn’t trash also the battery life is so so but to have 500 lumens in the palm of your hand is pretty convenient.

Perfect size, overall great light.
This light is the perfect EDC light. It's small, light weight, bright and practical/tactical. 500 LM (7600 candela !)on high for 1 hour and 5 LM on low. Gas pedal tail switch and a great feel to the body of it. Look no further, this is the best OVERALL flashlight you can buy.
