Let's start with the cover doesn't sit properly over the big tray. The little cover doesn't fit in to the detent at the end of the hot dog tray. I followed the video from here for the use. I think 55 is probably too long for "my" 1000w microwave. Anyway, flipped over to pull the first small tray out, it dripped burning hot dog juice all over my fingers. When I pulled the little tray out, more burning juice all over my hand. The hot dog itself can out merely ok but the bun dried out and was like chewing rubber foam. I wonder if I add a little water to the outside tray will the bun not dry out soo bad. Anyway, bad product and I'll most like throw it away.

If you have the right size dogs and buns, it's not too hard to use. The hot dogs come out perfectly steamed, as does the bun if you only leave it in the microwave for the last 15 seconds of the 55-second cooking time. When you pull the hotdog from the micro, be careful. The bottom tray will have a small quantity of boiling hotdog juice in it and it WILL find its way onto your fingers. Flip the whole thing over and remove the juice tray to dump it. Rinse it and your burnt fingers under some cool water. The hotdog will have dropped into the bun and the whole thing ends up in the basket, ready to go. Works great except for burning my hands every single time I use it, no matter how careful.

Hot Dawg!! This might be the greatest invention to ever be put on the face of this earth. And to think I was cooking hot hogs like normal people before I found this beauty. Now I live amongst the elites of society and have evolved beyond the normal people due to the awesomeness of my hot dog creations. And I give all the credit to this slap daddy hot dog cooking contraption. I don’t know what my life would be like right now if I hadn’t stumbled upon this beauty. It feels like I’m dreaming every time I open the microwave and smell what this hot doglicious (AKA “the rock”) is cooking. Blessed am I for receiving such a miracle occurrence in my life. I am truly grateful. 10/10 would recommend.

I ordered this just for fun and to test the idea. I love a quick hotdog and thought this could be a great idea. I assumed the design would cook the hotdog while not over heat the bun. It only somewhat accomplished that. As the bun cooled it got typically tough and hard like a nuc'ed bun does. The design is great allowing you to pull out the cooking tube dropping the hotdog right into the bun but not the grease and water you don't want on the bun.Sadly the build was very bad, as the pictures show it doesn't fit at all and nearly fell apart as I lifted it into the microwave, and then again as I took it out and flipped it over per instructions.It's not an awful gadget but for a quick option I much prefer a dog cooked in a toaster oven for one cycle, then adding the open bun for the second cycle giving you a nice hot even browned dog and toasted bun.

I really like this however I wish they would make one for microwaving 2 hot dogs.
