I have been looking for a big L-shaped standing desk to put my 3 sewing/embroidery machines on. I feel like I will use them more if they are always set up and ready to go. I was wishing for a really high quality, industrial strength desk. I figured that something at my price point of about $200 to $275 would not get me much. When I came across this one I ordered it right away. My expectations were not high as far as durability. I figured it would be a home quality, rather than an office quality item. Well, my expectations were blown away. This is exactly the same desk that I have at work. This truly is a very heavy and well-constructed desk. This desk is very big and heavy. I am a 50-year-old, overweight woman. I was able to scoot the box to the room where I unpacked it, and I was able to assemble it myself. Now, I am accustomed to doing hard things myself. I will say this have been one the most physically challenging thing I have done on my own in my entire life. So, I think a lot of people will find this to be a two-person job. I was a little worried that I would damage the desk while trying to flip it over the few times that are required during assembly. I was very strategic about how I did it and managed to avoid any problems. The assembly was not too bad. I did make a few mistakes and had to undo things a couple of times. Be sure to really look closely at the instructions. You really do not want to have to take this whole thing apart due to a mistake made early on. They do provide an instruction book that is pretty decent, but I did struggle with it a little. In the end, I think I did something really wrong because the cables would not reach the control box. None of the other reviews mentioned this problem, so I am assuming that it is my error. I ended up having to just stick the controls up with double-sided tape in the center of the table underneath. I was not about to try and figure out my error, so I will just live with it. Despite this, the table raises and lowers perfectly. This is the greatest craft table I could have asked for. It is a totally amazing value at the current price.

The lifting mechanism raises the desktop smoothly ( and surprisingly quietly) to a maximum height of 47", which is perfect for us since we both deal with back issues and can’t sit for extended periods. The control panel is very easy to use, and the ability to set three different preset heights makes switching positions effortless. The built‑in power outlets and the cable management tray underneath the desktop are excellent additions that keep everything neat and organized. Overall, I am very satisfied and impressed with the features and build quality. My only slight disappointment is that the top is not etched glass. The surface material wasn’t clearly specified in the listing, at least not that I could find, so I had hoped for glass. Instead it is engineered wood, but it is attractive enough and functions perfectly fine. In the end, I’m thrilled with both the look and practicality of this desk. At its current price of $284.99, I consider it an excellent value and a smart investment for anyone needing a spacious, sturdy, and highly functional workstation.

Reviewing FIXCHIGO L-Shaped Standing Desk, You never know what you are going to get when ordering furniture online. I was hesitant at first to order this standing desk, but I looked up the brand history for FIXCHIGO and they are known for work benches and they have a great reputation/great reviews for their work benches, so that put my mind at ease, somewhat. I admit to being worried about putting the desk together since it’s electronically controlled. Luckily, the assembly was straightforward the electrical components are already assembled, they just need bolted to the desk. The rest of the assembly is easy to follow, and everything needed is included. The instructions are simple to follow. Between the two of us, it took around 30 to 40 minutes to put together. One person could put it together, but it would be more difficult to get everything lined up and screwed in by a single person. The desk once together is a top-notch desk. It is sturdy and durable. It is stable and can hold a lot of weight. The height adjustment is smooth, not jerky and goes at a nice, even pace, so you don’t need to worry about your monitor or laptop falling over and crashing. The ability to organize my cords under the desk with the power management tray was unexpected but very welcome, as are the sturdy hooks on the edges of each side. It raises to almost 4 feet, which is way taller than I need it to lift, so that’s a great feature. It also has locking wheels, so it’s easy to move around, but also to lock in place. It's the perfect size for me!
