This is a genuine HJC visor. It's the same thing as the clear one that ships with the RPS-10 helmet, but with a nice dark tint. Haven't seen any indication that the tint will fade or rub off or anything. Very easy to swap on and off the helmet. Definitely don't want to ride with this Dark Smoke color at night though.Also, note that the current photo on this Amazon listing incorrectly shows the thumb tab for lifting the visor in the wrong spot. This face shield model has it in the direct center of the visor (and it's a locking mechanism)...so don't worry about that!

Very nice sheild, easily changed out with my clear shield. Not too dark either, just right. Fits perfectly on my RPHA 10 helmet.

Love this shield during the day! Rode to work the other day with the sun directly in my face and didn't need to squint...Just a couple of quick notes...when purchasing this shield remember to ALSO PURCHASE the clear pinlock insert to reduce fogging...without the insert, these fog really quickly...with the insert, i have had absolutely no problems with fog whatsoever, even in cold weather...also, if you purchase this shield, make sure you have a clear shield for riding at night as this is a really dark shield and it will be difficult to ride..and being able to see is important in a car, but even more important on two wheels...safe riding everyone!

I have witnessed the countless deaths of bugs up close and personal looking through this shield. At times it seems sad but then I realize what a great product this really is. The tint makes this a must for summer. Solid HJC Product.

Easy to see through and just enough tinting to block even the rising sun. Finish is holding up with no scratches.

This is exactly what I wanted! You cannot see my eyes from behind this shield, even if you are right next to me. It is the perfect alternative to a set of good sunglasses, and great comparison for the light filtering you can expect. Great for all types of daylight riding, even in overcast conditions. Obviously, you can't ride at night with this shield but swapping to the clear shield takes less than 30 seconds.
