KitSound Boombar 2 + Bluetooth Portable Speaker - Rose Gold

I bought this purely as it was on offer for a tenner! Its really great overall; sound is loud and bassy, connectivity is spot on and it feels well made. Easily feels worth at least 40 to 50 quid.

Really disappointed with this. I own a couple of Kitsound mini bluetooth speakers and some headphones, all of which have been brilliant. This Boombar 2 was faulty out of the box. I plugged it in, expecting the 4 hour charge as advertised, but the red light went off in less than 30 minutes. Cool I thought, it must have been almost fully charged. Playback lasted less than an hour before the battery died, so I tried to charge it again and again the red light only stayed on for around 30 minutes, the charge / playback lasting for about an hour yet again. Not even close to the 10 hours advertised. I'm inclined to think this had been used before. The presentation box had a crack in it and wasn't sealed as expected, so I'd suggest I was sent a returned product, which is even more disappointing. The speaker itself sounded great when it worked, but it's put me off buying KitSound again.

Not bad for the price I paid £11.03 I would not buy for portability or put in a suitcase as quite heavy. Good for indoor or outdoor use its not as good as my other bluetooth speaker but it was cheap and sounds good in my kitchen

I have ended up having to leave mine plugged in all day as the device has no indication of the battery level and it just keeps going till 0. other than this great product, packaging gave a nice premium feel often find myself having to press and hold the power button 2-3 times for it to turn on Bluetooth has auto shutdown (around 5 - 10 minutes) will not pair to 2 devices at once seems to be recognised as headphones by windows, did not see any driver installation in the manual or website did not notice any audio delays via Bluetooth when streaming or playing product is built very robust does not feel like it will be breaking apart anytime soon. can easily survive a few falls (I'm not testing) the charging port being micro usb tends to be very lose when the clip in wears out but this is only a problem if you're moving the speaker around often. Can not be solely powered by the aux cable

So far so good, alot bigger than I expected and sound quality is very good, this will be taken to work and used on a building site so that will be the true test for it. Also for £10.98 on a lightning deal you can't complain

Sound quality a bit tinny, but for the price I would put up with it. Looks solid, not sure about the aluminium speaker surround though!!

I've had a KS Boombar for many years, however having purchased the boombar2+ it's riddled with problems. Firstly it oairsed with my phone, but with no sound or volume. It doesn't charge. Cintinuos red light charged for 12 hours. Never held the charge and would not switch on, away from the mains. - thought it was a one off so ordered a replacement. REPLACEMENT HAD THE SAME ISSUE. WILL NEVER BUY ONE AGAIN

Heard one of these speakers some years ago and thought it excellent, probably not made anymore so on finding this I had to buy it. Worked really well for about 9 months then found it wouldn't charge making it useless for outdoor listening, it then wouldn't work even when plugged in, took it to the recycling site. Great shame.
