Very impressed
Very quiet and powerful. So far, I have used it to juice 50 lbs of beets and carrots in one afternoon. Found that if i used my food processor to shred the beets and carrots first -actually made the job faster, more efficient, even quieter, and easier on the machine. Did not heat up at all. The whole process, even with the extra step went very quickly and efficiently. Foaming was a bit of an issue but i just put the foam back into the shredded beets bowl where it broke down. Very easy to dismantle and clean. Warm water and soap cleaned the juice stains , so looks new still The pulp was very dry compared to my previous centrifuge type juicer. Well worth the expense. Highly recommend for people who juice in large quantities and freeze.

and loved juicing in general
I started juicing a few years ago with a centrifugal juicer, and loved juicing in general. Then I decided I was gonna stick with it and upgraded to a Dash masticating juicer, but it was a pain. Just the shape in general was bulky, the juice separated just as quick as the centrifugal juicer, with just as much pulp, and you lost a lot of product in the straining process. I wanted a new juicer, but wanted a horizontal one like this, but could not spend $300-$400 on one, and was afraid it wouldn't be worth it. I was lucky enough when the new juicer bug was biting me a few weeks ago that I found this for less than $200 on Amazon. I knew it was a deal after researching this brand and jumped on it. I am so glad I did. It is worth $400. It is such a huge difference over other juicers. I have a lot less pulp, a lot more juice, the juice barely needs to be strained, but it comes with a strainer. The juice isn't frothy, or pulpy, and doesn't separate quickly. I used to have to make myself finish my juice b/c it was so thick, but not anymore. This juicer truly makes juicing a pleasure again. Yes, there are a lot of pieces, but it is SO EASY to clean. And the footprint is smaller than my last Dash juicer. If you're worried about spending the $300, don't. Because this will pay for itself in improved health, and enjoyment of juicing. I even bought a second juicer for my sister while they were on sale.If you're new to juicing and it seems daunting, a simple trick I've found that works, is juice colors of similar colors i.e. greens, green peppers, pears, etc. Use a little more fruit at first till your taste buds get used to juicing, and slowly reduce the amount of fruit and increase the amount of vegetables. Mixing green juice and carrot juice may be healthy, but a brown or black juice just isn't appetizing to drink if you mix too many colors at once.

Absolutely SUPERB! Function, appearance, operation, and JUICE!
Oh man do I love this juicer! So well designed and operates PERFECTLY!I have only used it for juicing so far, but I would expect that the other capabilities.. (Pasta and spaghetti) would be just as good as the juicing function.Pulp extraction is almost completely dry, and the unit squeezes pulp-free juice out of virtually anything. Our first run was with apples for juice, and the result was fantastic. Not a speck of pulp and delicious! (I feed the pulp to my worms, and they love it too!)Cleaning was easy and pain-free. Quick, and with no hassles disasembling or reassembling the unit. Cleaned under a faucet and dried on a towel. Five minute operation, if that.Very pleased with the juicer, and it is attractive as well as functional. HIGHLY recommended. (Thank you Harvest Essentials for expeditious shipping!)

Best juicer a I own.
The Solostar is my sixth juicer, and by far the best. The juice is extremely pure with basically no pulp, and it extracts more juice than my other juicers do. Cleanup is easy and quick, the screen takes just a bit more to clean than some of my other juicers but no big deal.My only complaint is the size of the feed tube. It's small and you have to chop apples and large carrots down quite a bit to fit. But to get this high a quality of juice it's totally worth it.Wish I would of bought this juicer years ago!

Celery, carrots a breeze... highly recommended
I’ve been using this juicer for about two months, almost daily. It works great for celery, does not require the stalk to be cut into small pieces. Easily processes an entire stalk. Apples, carrots just need to be thin enough to fit through, otherwise it processes them well. Leafy greens are not the best. However, it does get some juice out of spinach and kale. Easy to put together and take apart. Cleaning is easy and quick other than the screen, takes a few minutes. Important to rinse immediately after using so food doesn’t stick to the screen. Fairly quiet. I researched several brands for weeks before I purchased this one. So far, I’m very happy with it.
