Would recommend. Review: Wonderful in all aspects. - I just got into knitting and crochet about six months ago, and a good portion of that time has been spent getting to know yarn. I've tried a wide variety of yarns and I now have a set of criteria that is the same no matter the project. This yarn meets all the criteria. First, I turned it into a biscuit. It's incredible how important that step is if you want to avoid tangles later on. This step is also useful for knowing what to expect in any given skein of yarn. This skein had no joins which I love. I realize that sometimes yarn breaks and it must be used anyway, but this yarn came from a batch that didn't need to be joined. Then, I crocheted it. No tangling. No slippage. Just easygoing yarn. Then, I frogged it, which is a fancy way of saying unraveled. It didn't kink at all. It was as though it hadn't even been touched. One of the reviews said that this yarn splits easily. I want to touch on that because I used to struggle with that as well. The size of the hook/needle matters. This yarn won't split at all if you use the recommended size hook/needle. I don't always follow the rules on hook/needle size, but I also don't blame the manufacturer if it doesn't go well for me. I'm only bringing this up, because I think this yarn is ideal for beginners. It's forgiving. It's not slippery. It's nice and soft. And it's big enough to be able to see each stitch and really understand what you're doing when you do a single crochet or a triple crochet. This is a good yarn. You won't go wrong here.

Lovely yarn!
I've had the opportunity to try a varieety of Eskato yarns and have been quite pleased with them overall. This yarn is exactly as expected in terms of weight and color, and it's nice to work with. This yarn does have a tendency to split due to the slightly loose twist, but a little experience helps deal with that issue. This yarn has clear stitch definition, is eaasy to frog, and feels wonderful to work with. The Midnight Blue is very deep and vibrant, true to the images, and exactly what I wanted for a knitted beanie. I'm quite happy with this yarn! Estako Woolky, 70% Acrylic 30% Wool Yarn, Soft, Chunky Bulky Weight #5 for Crochet and Knitting 3.53 Oz (100g) / 109 Yrds (100m) (4017 - Midnight Blue)

Terrific
I have been collecting yarns for a while now in anticipation of making a yarn hook/needle punch wall hanging. When I saw this yarn I realized I had no brown yarn to represent tree trunks, branchs, dirt, etc. I got this yarn due to the walnut color. I think it will go perfectly with what I am planning on doing. This yarn is so soft and lovely and would make a great garment. It is 30% wool and 70% acrylic. I appreciate the opportunity to try out this yarn. Thank you.

Tangled Mess of Yarn
I have never had so much trouble trying to untangle a skein of yarn! It's been hours since I opened this skein and the tight knots in it are numerous. The quality seems OK but it's not as fluffy as I thought it would be. I'll just go to Hobby Lobby next time.

Very soft; kinda pricey
I'm still a newbie at crochet, and I'm still discovering what I do and don't like in various yarns. Yarns specifically made for beginners are great for learning because you can clearly see the stitches, but they tend to not be soft at all. This is a very soft acrylic/wool blend that has some heft to it. It crochets beautifully, and I didn't have any issues with it fraying or splitting. I do think it's a bit pricey though for only 109 yards. You are going to need lots of skeins for most projects.

Nice wool, not scratchy
This is indeed on the chunky side. Not super chunky, but definitely thicker than worsted by a long ways. The package recommends a 8mm crochet hook or 8mm knitting needles, so yes, it's chunky. I like it though; it's just about the right size for a chunky scarf or hat without looking ridiculous. The color I got is a gorgeous seafoam color ("pale teal"). I've had the opportunity to try various Estako yarns and I've been pleased with the majority of them; this one is no exception and I think I'll be purchasing another skein or two so I've got enough for a scarf project. This is a wool blend yarn but very soft with no scratchy feel. I like it!

Beautiful color and texture
This is such gorgeous yarn!!! It's amazing quality, and so soft and nice. I love working with bulkier yarn, and this is great for making smaller projects with. They offer an amazing assortment of colors, and they're all very trendy and practical colors. I'm really impressed by it, and enjoyed working with it (I crochet).
