While I haven't put them into a project yet, the metal components appear to be of good quality and I don't foresee any issues with the steel clips or screws. I don't have gentle-handed skills with my tools, and I definitely will be avoiding electric impact drivers with these to prevent any stripping or damage - I know I'll have to use a screwdriver. Great to have spares. Summary: A high-value kit for anyone needing a variety of automotive metal fasteners. This set looked ideal for our VW group cars. In particular I needed some torx trim screws for the wheel arches on my Transporter van and some trim plugs for our Seat Toledo. The pack arrived without everything getting mixed together in transit and looked of good quality. I have fitted the torx trim screws to the Transporter and despite being slightly smaller on the thread and head than the originals, they still tightened up fine. I used one of the heat shield clips to replace a rusted one and although quite thin, it did the job. The final job was to replace some missing plastic trim expansion plugs on our Seat Toledo. These were not a success. It is possible that the hole I was putting them in was slightly too small, but the outers dropped in just fine. I’ve fitted many of these before. When I went to screw in the centre of the plug, it wouldn’t take to the thread and when I applied a little pressure it split in half. I tried another, in a different location, being more gentle and it developed cracks around the edges. My personal view is if I actually managed to get these in, I would be drilling them to remove them because the plastic is already too brittle. The rest of the set is all metal parts and I think every part but the plastic trim plugs will be fine. See pictures for all parts I have tried from the set.
