Goddess Waifu Cards Game,GS2-12, Anime Cards,1 Box 180 Cards Total (GS2-12)

SO CUTE! I know next to nothing about this card set or brand and only recognize a few of the characters, but I decided to grab it anyway because the art looked pretty, and wow, am I impressed! The print quality on these cards is insane. Every card has a beautiful holographic finish and I did not see any print issues at all. In my pulls, every R had about 2-3 duplicates, but every SR and higher was unique with no dupes. They fit in typical sleeves and fit nicely in my binders with room to spare. If you are into cute anime waifu cards or just like solid print quality this set 100% delivers! Very very happy!

I am interested in trying out new and different card games and board games, so despite the limited info on the product page, I decided to give this "game" a try. It turns out that this is *not* a game. In doing some web searching for the "rules" (and discovering there apparently are none - at least not in English), I found out a little bit more about "waifu" cards. Here's my completely novice perspective on this item. * What's with the unlabeled box? At first I was puzzled to see a decorative box that did not have a name or logo on it. However, inside I found the card box that I expected. The card box is flimsy, of the type you would see used to temporarily display cards for sale in a store. So the more durable outer box was an unexpected bonus. See my photos which show both boxes side-by-side. * What is the name of this thing? I ordered the "GS1-16" version. The box cover has "Goddess Story" written in English, but the rest of the text on the outside of the box is in Chinese, I believe. Using a translation app (not always accurate), it said the Chinese title is "New Goddess Story", with the sub-title "Scarlet Sakura Chapter." Note that the back of the box lists all cards in the series. I have included a photo here for reference. * What all came in the box? After opening up the 30 packs of cards (which did contain 5 cards each), I had the following distribution after sorting the 150 cards: SER (platinum) cards - 0 GR (diamond) cards - 2 SSR (gold) cards - 5 SCR (laser flash) cards - 4 CR cards - 20 (5 are duplicates) SR cards - 19 R cards - 100 (*lots* of duplicates) I did not count the duplicate "R" cards, but the listing on the back of the box (and online references) state there are only 18 of these cards. So, mathematically at least, I ended up with 82 that are duplicates! Now, this does not strike me as a great value from a general consumer standpoint. But this may be the norm for this sort of box set. So I will leave the price versus value calculation to the fans. Outside of that concern, this appears to be a well-produced set of cards, with the rarer cards being attractively produced. One final note: The artwork is occasionally PG style, with some provocative and scantily-clad illustrations in the mix (but no nudity), if that is a concern. I picked them up since I felt like opening a lot of mystery packs and it was not a wasted idea. Included are 30 packs with 5 cards each and thus, 150 cards at a very good price. I'm fond of the surprise to know what is inside each pack, but the artwork is really good, bright colors and beautiful holographic effects. The number of duplicates is rather large, yet it did not bother us as the best thing is to open the packs and see the various character designs. Although I am not able to read what is printed on the cards, it does not affect the fun. It is a nice little set to anyone who is an anime fan or even a fan of collecting cards or merely a fan of mystery pack items.

This is a very interesting deck of cards for a card game that I'm still trying to find more info on. The cards do have some connections to some Animes that I have seen before so that is very cool. The art on the cards are very well done. There is some more risky type images but nothing to the Adult side. Well as much as I have seen. To get back to the cards they are in japanese so it's a little hard for me to learn and use. But very nice cards.

I thought these would be fun to get to open and see what cards would be inside. For 30 packs (5 cards per pack=150 cards) at under $0.70 a pack it seems like a good price. This would be good to get for those that like opening surprise/mystery items, anime, cards, etc. My daughter is enjoying opening packs and seeing what's inside. Good graphics on the cards and the holographic on them os pretty. Not sure what each card says, but that doesn't matter to my daughter.

While there are a handful of more 'adult friendly' cards in here, (there are less than you'd think,) some have such beautifully detailed art that I just had to have them. Overall: These would make a unique, collectible, and affordable gift for teen+ anime fans.

The box is sealed with bunches of sealed booster packs inside. They are beautiful high quality cards. Didn't play the game, but will now. Can't wait to collect more. Cards are worthy of displaying. Although I did feel the need to hide them from the young children. Some are not appropriate for young eyes. VERY excited about the ReZero cards!
