I recently redecorated my home office and this desk pad was a beautiful addition. I have a black desk and the pad looks so high end and eliminates the need for a mouse pad. Gave me that high-end look for a very fair price.

I'll admit it: I have a weakness for pink accessories. So I couldn't pass up this faux leather desk mat. The soft, muted rose reads as a bit more classy vs. cutesy. The "Crazy Horse" name sounds like premium leather, and while it's not - it's PU leather that's styled to mimic that distressed vintage look - it actually pulls it off pretty well visually. It also means it's vegan-friendly and significantly more affordable than real leather, so no complaints there. I went with the larger 36"x17" size, and it's been worth every inch. My full-size keyboards fit comfortably with plenty of mousing room to spare, and the surface tracks my wireless mice really smoothly - no jitter, drag, or skipping that I've experienced on other desk mats. The non-slip suede backing does its job too; this thing stays put well. Waterproofing has held up well in everyday use, though I'm not exactly stress-testing it with dramatic spills near my nice computer setup. The mat also unfurled fairly easily out of the box, which isn't always a given with rolled desk mats. One heads-up though: this had a pretty strong chemical off-gassing smell for the first several days. This handsome, camel colored, 36x17 inches leather desk mat is for my husband. There is an old world feel to it, when you look at it. I personally think that it looks expensive. We’re in the process of refinishing a vintage oak desk and chair. When I saw this leather desk mat, in this camel color, I knew that it would be a beautiful piece for him to be able to work on. It is waterproof. If he spilled water, he could blot it up. We will use our leather conditioner to keep it supple. Leather can dry out, and eventually deteriorate if you don’t treat it once in a while. If you condition leather, it can last for a very long time. My husband’s desk will be exposed to sunlight, so it’s important that we treat the mat. I feel that when everything is together, it will look just beautiful. My husband really liked it when I showed it to him. This item could be a wonderful gift for someone who works in an office, or has one at home. It could also be a great gift for a college student. It is nicely made. I think it would be a welcomed gift for the right people in your life. I’m so excited to be able to have this mat to complete the look of my husband’s desk when it’s done being refinished.

I got this to replace a felt desk pad that had reached the end of its life, and it immediately felt like an upgrade without adding bulk. It’s thin but not flimsy, with a soft surface and a subtle leather-style texture that looks clean on a desk. The big thing to know is the smell. Right out of the box, the chemical odor is strong enough that I questioned whether I could use it. The good news is that it fully aired out overnight and hasn’t returned since. If you let it sit out for a night, it’s fine. The first few hours of mouse use felt slightly slow, but that went away quickly and now it feels normal. I use it daily under my laptop, and neither the pad nor the laptop have slid around at all. If you want a leather look without real leather and don’t want a thick desk mat, this works well. Five stars, just plan to let it breathe before using it.

The size and color of this desk mat are true to the listing. It was a little larger than I anticipated, so I currently repurposed it in front of my TV where I'm testing some equipment. It has good thickness that provides solid protection. The material reminds me a little of rolled vinyl flooring, except it's soft to the hand and not as stiff, with more flexibility and play. The finish cleans easily from dust and spills while protecting what's underneath, which is exactly what I needed. The button-up tie allows it to be rolled up for storage, which is convenient for portability or when you need to clear space. I would recommend rolling it inside out when storing to avoid issues. Unfortunately, the button left an imprint that hasn't self-healed on its own or with some massaging, so the material is impressionable and can show marks. Overall, this is a functional desk mat with good protective qualities and easy maintenance. Just be mindful of how you store it to avoid permanent impressions from the button closure.
