Men's Mission Ridge Waterproof Ankle Boots, Insulated Cold Weather Shoes

The boots exceeded my expectations. They fit comfortably and provided excellent insulation. I would highly recommend them.

I got these because I needed a dedicated "slush boot" for the messy transition seasons (late fall and early spring) and light winter days. I wasn't willing to drop $140 on L.L. Bean boots just to walk the dog or run to the grocery store in wet snow. I wanted something waterproof, insulated enough for 20°F weather, and easy to slip on without a 10-minute lacing session. The Specifics: The Build: This is a classic hybrid construction: a waterproof rubber shell bottom paired with a Ripstop Nylon and "Action Leather" upper. Tech: It uses Western Chief’s "DryBuilt" membrane (waterproof) and "WarmBuilt" insulation (rated for sub-freezing temps). The Sole: Unlike the flat, slippery soles on cheap rain boots, these have a proper EVA midsole (for shock absorption) and a lugged rubber outsole that actually grips icy sidewalks. Quality, Price, Utility, Durability & Usefulness Quality: For a budget boot, the construction is solid. The stitching where the nylon meets the rubber shell is reinforced. The "Action Leather" (coated leather) isn't premium full-grain, but it’s tough and easy to wipe clean. The interior lining is soft and moisture-wicking, avoiding that clammy plastic bag feeling you get in cheaper boots. Price: At roughly $65 - $90, this is the sweet spot. You are paying about half the price of the big-name heritage brands. Utility: These shine in "messy" weather—melting snow, mud, and freezing rain. The ankle height offers enough coverage to keep snow out of your socks without the bulk of a full-height pac boot. Durability: The ripstop nylon upper is resistant to tears and snags. I’ve used them for shoveling the driveway and kicking slush off the car tires, and the rubber shell hasn't cracked. Styling: They aren't going to win any style contests for how they look, but they work great.

But exactly what you need. If you need boots to roam around the woods, hike or work outside in this god forsaken clay, this is perfect. You can tear them up and get them filthy and it doesn't matter. They're pretty comfortable and I'm happy with them. Seem relatively good quality for the price

I wore these in some extreme conditions hiking in the mountains and I couldn't be more pleased. They were comfortable and fit well, kept my feet dry and warm and looked very stylish. This company has been in business a long time and the quality of their product is the reason. I am extremely pleased and would recommend. I had never heard of this brand before I ordered but will definitely be looking for the brand in the future.

This is a pair of waterproof ankle boots. They are khaki water resistant fabric, with dark brown leather edging. They’re very attractive, and you will definitely feel warm, dry, and stylish, as you wear them throughout the winter. I recommend this purchase. You will be glad that you have them on the cold, wet, days of winter.!

3 MONTH UPDATE: I'm loving these shoes so much, I just bought a second pair to have on hand in the event that something happens to the first pair. I've been wearing these shoes every single day for over three months now and they don't show any signs of wear. The seams and the stitchings are still in excellent condition! For half of the time I've been wearing these, the outside temperature has been freezing or below and I'm really impressed with just how warm they keep my feet. Other shoes that I have including winter boots don't do as good of a job and my toes still get very cold over time but with these shoes my toes stay toasty warm all the time! I often encounter items that work well initially and then rapidly degrade but not the Men's Mission Ridge Waterproof Ankle Boots from Western Chief. I'm very happy with these! END UPDATE... ORIGINAL REVIEW: Due to having deformed and swollen feet caused by crippling arthritis, I am rarely fortunate enough to find shoes that fit me well and remain comfortable throughout the day. However, these cold weather, waterproof ankle boots from Western Chief do just that! They appear to be built well so I'm anxious to see how long a pair will last. I anticipate long usage from these shoes.They also look great in my opinion. I'm very glad I gave these a try.
