Tis: A Memoir

Bought this second hand but seems like fresh copy at just Rs 210 against Rs 950 for fresh copy. Unbelievably amazing... Great.

I like the Content ............. over all its good and Meaningful ............ Very Nice Told The Story till the End

I liked ‘Teacher-Man’ a lot. I didn’t enjoy this one so much. It was his experience in New York and his life working in different places. I found this book disappointing because he has written every part of his life in negative way only. I am sure coming from small place with no food and no life , he must have felt better in the new country. He has not mentioned anything which tells about him feeling good about anyone or anything. His regular description of going to bar and restaurants, meeting women and falling in love with them. Nothing seems to be giving him any positive thought. His drinking habit is so bad that he ruins his own wedding. Makes his wife cry. I found his character didn't learn anything from her father who distroyed their lives. However I liked the second part of the book better but overall I found very disappointing.

This sequel of Angela's ashes is not as good as Angela's ashes. Skip it.

Brilliant book

Buen libro de tapa dura y letra de buen tamaño para una lectura agradable.

I loved Frank McCourt's Angelas's Ashes and Tis is the sequel. I can't recommend these two books enough. They're wonderful! I bought Tis as a Used Very Good quality book and it's like new. A good way to go price-wise. Highly recommend this method of purchasing, and I recommend these 2 books!!

J'ai vu le film "Les cendres d'Angela et j'avais très envie de savoir la suite. Ce qui était devenu à ce garçon. J'ai beaucoup apprécié ce livre " 'Tis". Une histoire magnifique d'un "monsieur tout le monde" dans un New York et une époque que je n'ai pas connu. Un style d'écriture très particulier par rapport à ce qu'on peut lire d'écrivains de son époque. Je le recommande!
