It’s almost a necessity to have an easy to read method of taking temperatures as a primary method of “early warning” that something may be wrong with you. When I saw this was available through the Amazon Vine Program, I ordered one for review. Memory storage is lost when you change the battery Simply holding the unit too long can cause it to heat up and affect measurements Monitor service life 5 years This thing is extremely easy to use. The quick guide and the batteries are all you need to get up and running (the user manual contains more detailed information).The reading will display for approximately 3 seconds, then displays in the most recent temperature box. For taking forehead temperatures, I would recommend contact on the center of the forehead even though it should work a little over an inch away. The magnetic ear probe cover automatically switches to “ear mode” when removed and returns to the last mode set (with the exception that object mode returns to child mode).Cleaning and maintenance is accomplished with an alcohol swab or cotton swab moistened with 70% isopropyl alcohol. This is a very useful device to have for home use. I appreciate the fact it runs on 2 AAA batteries, which I usually have around the house, and not some exotic button cell I’ve never seen before, let alone keep in stock. I also appreciate that it reads in about 1 second. This thing is fast! I found it to be very precise, but as for accuracy, I can only say it repeatedly recorded my forehead temperature as 98.3F (two other electronic “under the tongue” devices gave readings of 97.9F and 98.0F and took a full 2 minutes). The inclusion of an object or surface mode is an added bonus. I love the large LCD screen and digital readout. The backlight color warnings are a great additional feature. Bottom Line: The build quality is excellent. It feels good in the hand and I am very pleased with the operation. This is now the “go to” temperature measuring device in the medicine cabinet. This is one of the best home thermometers I have ever used. I can recommend it without hesitation.

The quick start guide and more comprehensive users manual provided all the information one might need to easily learn how to use this device. Among its numerous features are touchless readings, the ability to take readings via the forehead or the ear, a large back-lit digital display, fever alert and low battery indicator. The device is suitable for use on newborns, infants, children, teens, adults and seniors. The thermometer and the instruction books all fit neatly in the included drawstring pouch. It's a no brainer to keep the documentation together with the device for anyone to be able to use it. Setup was uncomplicated. The display is easy to read even in low-light settings. Taking a temperature reading with this thermometer is surprisingly fast, practically an "instant read", which is great if you have a wiggling, cranky infant you're trying to check for fever. (Would work just as well on wiggling, cranky adults. LOL) The display itself is color coded: Red means high fever, orange means low-grade fever and green means no fever detected. Wish this device had been around decades ago when my kids were little. If you're looking for a fast, easy to use and reliable device for detecting fever in children or adults, this thermometer from Eajuy is definitely worth your consideration.

The ear feature shows to be accurate when tested against another thermometer that's been proven to read correctly. Using the ear feature is easier than the forehead reader. It takes steady hands, which I don't have, to check the forehead temp, but maybe someone else could get an accurate read that way. Also, is pretty much impossible to check your own forehead temp with it, since it's "no touch". I will keep it because it's so fast and accurate to use for the ear. It would be worth the listed price for only that feature. The no touch cap is held on magnetically so it pops off and on very easily It came with pamphlets of clear instructions and a cute little drawstring bag for storage. It's great for someone with small children or infants, because it's so fast and easy to use. They only have to be still for a split second. LOL I want to give 5 stars, but the no touch forehead feature is just too difficult for someone who doesn't have extremely steady hands or does have a wiggly patient. If that was the only option for checking the temp, the accuracy of the read result would be questionable. Otherwise, it's great.

I appreciate that this set comes with a soft carrying bag and 2 AAA batteries so the thermometer is ready for use right out of the box. Using the thermometer is really easy. There’s a small grey mode button that cycles between Forehead, Ear, and general purpose measurements. The large button takes the reading and is easy to press. The temperature is then shown with an accompanying color light that changes depending on the temperature. The screen is very clear with large numbers that are easily legible. It is also very easy to disable the sound and beeps it makes if you plan to use it on a sleeping kid. The ear hood piece is magnetically attached and can be easily removed and reattached. I personally didn’t find this mode all that useful as the forehead temperature is easier to read. I still appreciate that this thermometer has this feature in the event a more accurate reading is required. Overall this is an excellent thermometer that provides accurate readings and is very easy to use.

I’m eighty-three and live alone. I’m not overly concerned about my health, except for when my young grandchildren visit. I still have a glass thermometer, somewhere. Of course, these were phased out because they contained mercury. They were also slow and difficult to read. Of late, I’ve been using a scanning thermometer. It has only one button, and it’s easy to use. For me, this Eujuy smart thermometer offers more features than I need. It also has two buttons that serve more than two functions. I don’t like devices with multi-function buttons. Unless, I use a device frequently, I have to review the instruction manual. If I remember to push the right button in the right order, at the right time, the Eujuy thermometer does what it’s supposed to do and seems to be accurate. The instruction manual has 26 pages and is quite comprehensive. I like that it even gets a bit technical, describing the infrared principle of how the thermometer works. The print is small, but I could read it without a magnifying glass. Unlike many manuals, I noticed only one typo. I fully understand others, such as those with small children, might really appreciate the other features. I can attest to the accuracy of the temperature readings, for me.
