Excellent product—it was exactly what I was looking for.

This is an addendum. This is a terrible design for the making and drinking of the coffee. A family member has ruined my preferred daily coffee maker, so I thought I would switch to this one. However the little filters drip down the side, annoyingly. Also, pouring from the metallic non-insulated pitcher (yes the spout works well for pouring), into the metallic insulated cup, results in a slightly-metallic tasting coffee. WHAT metal am i drinking???? For these reason, this is a very not-good coffee Maker. I confess I have not yet attempted to use the little manual grinder (my Current favorite was pre-ground), which could be a good reason for this set, but the Maker part is annoying-enough, that even IF the grinder is great, the whole thing still gets a revised review of Not-good from me. Even if camping, there are so Many better options. IF someone loves coffee, this is mainly a cute-but-annoying-to-use decoration. I suppose if you have a coffee-loving frenemy or in-law, whom you want to pretend to give a thoughtful gift, that they will need to pretend to like, then I would recommend this choice. --------------------------------------------------- I am leaving my original 3-star review below: I actually find myself puzzled over the use for this item. It's main benefits are the manual grinder, and that it can all be stored together compactly. If one is camping with a car, or perhaps in a space-limited camper, then this will be very useful. If one is HIKING, this is completely useless. It is heavy! The cup to brew the coffee into, is insulated, so that is good & useful. The outer cup, for using as a.... well, NOT a kettle, since you cannot put this leather-wrapped cylinder over a fire!... the outer cup for Just Pouring, I guess, is a non-insulated metal cylinder that will quickly cool down your hot water, BEFORE you pour it over your freshly-ground coffee. I really feel there are many other, better potential solutions for portability and weight. That said, it is a cute little setup. If someone really likes their fresh-ground pour-over, this is a compact & good looking option. But not for winter camping (water will cool too quickly before poured), and not for any situation, such as Hiking, where weight is a consideration.

I love this coffee kit for traveling! What a genius idea! I plan to use this for my trips! It is nice to wake up to freshly ground coffee and this definitely makes it easy! I tried out the set and it works well and the mug is a very nice quality stainless steel which is a big plus for me! It is so nice that it all fits back together into one compact unit! The whole set seems very well made and works perfectly for a great cup of coffee while you are on the road or camping! I just wish I had this before when I was traveling every week! But, I know I will enjoy it now! I think I will get one or more of these as gifts as the whole set is really nice for a coffee lover! Overall this is a well designed coffee making kit for traveling or camping. It is very sturdy, has a coffee grinder, pour over funnel, very nice stainless steel mug and kettle to hold it all!

No fun to review or use. 5th time trying

This coffee maker seems like a good item to go camping with. It looks nice and is very compact. What I found frustrating was it leaked when I was using it. The coffee has a fairly odd taste I noticed and I washed everything beforehand. The grinder works well so I will definitely hold on to that at least I am not sure if I will make this part of my regular kit or just let it go. The Coffee stayed hot enough for a while but if your outside in the cold you make want to drink it quickly. Overall I would avoid this and look elsewhere
