Cat addicted to the treats and keeps heep teeth clean and breath fresh

My cats are picky about their treats, and they generally prefer the ones with a soft filling. I was surprised how quickly they took to these - one crunch and they were like ravenous little snack monsters. This is now the go to treat to coax them out from under the bed or just reward them for being such beautiful little babies. These are top quality treats. They look like little green goldfish, roughly the same thickness as most treats this size. Eyeballing it I would say the size is about a quarter of an inch thick and between a quarter and a half of an inch wide. They are hard and crunchy, you can break them with your fingers but they take a good snap to do so. These arrived fresh in a nice snap closure plastic container.

My 17 year old cat recently had vet appointments and the vet was surprised how good his teeth are for his age . So I guess this treats are doing a good job . My cat loves the way it tastes, the price is great and the best part is my cat has kidney issues and the vet said that he can continue taking it and it won’t interfere with his kidney diet .

There’s no doubt that my two fatties find these dental treats to be delicious. I bought the catnip flavor. They go crazy when I open the container. In fact, I have to keep the container in the fridge or they will claw at the kitchen cabinets if they know the treats are in there. My cats are on a raw diet. These treats really are junk food for cats, but I got them because my vet said both of my kitties had tartar buildup. They turned 7 this year. She said dental treats help her cats and prevent tartar buildup and plaque. So, since I couldn’t find healthy dental treats, I chose these as they are the most popular and the reviews are pretty good. This is why I knocked off one star: my male cat swallows them whole, which defeats the purpose. He might chew one out of 8. Worst of all, the pieces don’t get digested and he has a lot of trouble pooping them out. It was painful for him, and he was pooping outside of the cat litter box. He never did this before. I tried cutting them in half and it didn’t help at all. They shouldn’t make the pieces so hard that they are not dissolving or getting digested in the cat’s body. His sister has no trouble at all because she chews them. As soon as I stopped giving him the treats, his poop normalized. Unfortunately, the treats don’t work for him. I’ll keep giving my little female the treats as long as they don’t have any negative effect on her or her blood work. I wish there were dental treats out there with healthy, quality ingredients, that aren’t as hard as rocks. I’ll keep searching…

My cat likes these treats. The recommended allowance is something like 16 per day, and I break that up as my cat thinks if i walk into the kitchen, it's treat time for him. Again. I honestly believe they keep his teeth in good shape as he always gets a good dental report when we go to the vet. So while Greenies are more expensive than some other brands, they're far less costly than a feline dental procedure.

I tried a pack cos a pawrent suggested it and my cat likes it, however, I noticed that the best before date is really close. I received it on 8 Aug 2022 and the BB date is 24 Aug 2022
