Must have for Compute Module 5
Solid cooling for my CM5 setup. Previous the raspberry pi CM5 chip used to be extremely hot after few minutes of use. After installing this cooling system CM5 is in a good thermal condition.

Very effective CM5 cooler.
Keeps my CM5 cool. I tried using a passive (no fan) heat sink that was adequate for a CM4 but a stress test (s-tui) brought it to 85°C which is where the processor throttles. That would be fine for intermittent workloads but I didn't want that. The little fan on this one made all the difference. Under stress, the CPU never got warmer than 57°C. the fan ran up to about 4800 rpm but didn't remain there, dropping back to about 2650 rpm and then back up to 4800. At idle, the fan remains off most of the time with the CPU at about 46°C. Another thing I like about this product is that the bottom of the heat sink is flat with the difference in height between various components made up by the thickness of the thermal pads. I had to return a previous (CM4) heat sink because the bottom was milled to match the height of the components on the CM4 but between design and manufacture, some of the components must have been relocated because the different heights on the cooler did not match the locations on the CM4.
