Made of plastic, not metal.
They are NOT made out of metal. In the description it says they are metal, so I pictured them like the other small profile metal power adapters for sale on Amazon. Highly dislike buying something and being lied to.2012 Chevy Volt outlets...Outlet #1, top inside dash: not flush with outlet, cap does not close, lights up, allows two cords out of the lid on either side, lights up. Causes insane radio static when phone is plugged in, causes slight static when nothing is plugged in. No other outlet plug causes this radio interference, have tried 4 kinds...Outlet #2, inside center console: not flush with outlet, cap DOES close, lights up, no radio interference at all.Note: just got these tonight [Oct 1st, 2018] and just tossed them in my car to see what they did. Will come back and leave a more detailed review if anything changes. So far, not impressed at all, very sad.

These car chargers work great.
These work great. They do what they're supposed to do. Easy to plug into a car's cigarette lighter (now a power port) and you can power two devices with two USB port cords. There is a light that comes on when the unit is powered (i.e. the car is on) so you know you are charging your device. I also like the shorter length of these charges. I have another one that is much longer and my kids sometime knock it out of the socket accidentally. I'm afraid that will break something either in the car socket or the charger itself. These shorter chargers are just the right length to make it easy to reach them to plug in a USB cord but not so long that they stick out of the socket too far.
