Having those extra 8 inches length on the top sheet is a plus as well. I have washed this set multiple times, since purchasing them 10 months ago, and they still feel like a 200 thread sheet would. Washing is not going to make these sheets smoother. If you have any sensitivity to rough fabrics you may want to steer clear of this set. I would recommend you start with a 300 thread count cotton sheet and go up from there. I gave this set 5 stars because they are a basic sheet set with a posted 200 thread count. They seem to be well-made with tight seams and have an extra 8 inches length on the flat top sheet. This set, for the price, is a good deal. I would buy them again.

I ordered a twin set of sheets after reading some good reviews, and while I was expecting a reasonable quality set of sheets for a good price, I was not ready for what happened next. The sheets were delivered promptly. I did not need them right away so I left them in the packaging and went about my merry business. No sooner had I forgotten the whole ordeal when a knock comes on the door and "Whamo!" it's the Publisher's Clearinghouse guy with a check for a million bucks. Then, a 25 year old supermodel shows up out of the blue and we fall in love in a matter of minutes, and now we're going to be married! (Anyway she used to be a supermodel, but she is suffering from that fast aging disease and looks quite a bit older than 25, but she swears she is. She also struggles with a glandular problem and sluggish thyroid but I love her and told her she needs to order a set of sheets, too.) I also have not snored since purchasing these sheets (even though they are still unopened), and I have only had to shave my back twice since they arrived (normally I'd have a half dozen shaves in by now). I also got a promotion at work and people have been commenting that I look younger and am not so boring to be around. I can't imagine how life will change when I finally open these babies up and give 'em a good old fashioned washing! This is actually the second time I have ordered these sheets. White cotton sheets: it's harder than you'd think. Advertisers can be so misleading; I've seen the words "Egyptian Quality" used to describe synthetic fibers. I've seen a lot of misleading text, most of it targeted at the middle class shopper that wants good cotton sheets at an affordable price. I have some expensive, really nice (and really Egyptian) cotton linens purchased prior to retirement, so I have a frame of reference. I can't afford to go there anymore, and so I was planning to aim high and settle. These sheets are what I wanted. I let out my spare bedroom to an international student as a supplementary income, and I wanted reasonably comfortable, bleachable white sheets, not only because I want my visitor comfy, but also because once sheets have been stained by one guest, I either have to get the stain out or buy new ones for the next person. I bought these sheets and some inexpensive microfiber twin sheets (bought elsewhere) last fall for my first guest. The guests have been easy on the linens, physically small individuals that know how to treat nice things, but the microfiber sheets look as if they will fall apart in the wash any day, so it's time to get some more reasonably priced, 100% cotton sheets and a pillowcase. The set I bought last year and laundered every two weeks still seems almost new, sparkling white and a little softer than when they were washed the first time. The stitching has held up beautifully. My standard for the fifth star would be the expensive linens that run into the hundreds of dollars. For those that want long, soft fibers that can only be obtained by buying Egyptian cotton or Supima, you'll have to pay for it if you want that. But these are nice sheets, and if my own bed linens were to wear out, I would buy them for myself. I have seen reviews posted by people that are upset about wrinkled sheets. Usually if you don't want wrinkles, you'll have to accept a cotton/poly blend. Can you put wrinkled sheets on a bed? I can, and I do. Seriously, who irons sheets? The big wrinkles get stretched out when we put the sheets on the beds, and the small wrinkles don't bother us. Recommended for those that want sensibly priced cotton sheets.

Nice crisp, cool 100% cotton!!! Yes some reviewers have said the fabric isn't soft, but it's not "stiff" either. I do like the soft Egyptian cotton sheets, as long as they aren't too much like satin, but for the hot summer weather I prefer this type of sheet. I ordered white, which I tend to love as it always seems so clean and fresh. It's soft enough, but also has a cool and sturdy feel to it. That's why I ordered these - I looked in stores and couldn't find this type of sheet. Someone said it's like the fabric they used many years ago for sheets, and I guess since I grew up with that, that's why I still like it!!

Not sure if the sheets actually meet the 'as good as the old 200 ct percale you used to get' in quality - still very thin but the construction isn't bad. I think perhaps the wrinkles depend on what cycle you use on your washer. I'm still in search of soft, thick enough to lie smooth, quality 200 thread sheets like you could get in the 1980's, but maybe they just don't make them like they used to. I hate the higher thread count gimmick they're pushing now; it does not indicate better comfort.

We had an in-law coming in to visit and had no place for her to stay, so I bought an air mattress and sheet set for her to use. It was just before Christmas, so we were not looking forward to going to the teeming shopping centers and so bought these. They arrived the NEXT DAY...That's almost quicker than I could have gone down and gotten them. Anyway, they seem to be of very good quality, and one of the things I appreciated was they claim there is absolutely no harmful chemicals used in their manufacture. I like that. They fit nicely and feel soft and comfortable.

Personally, I find white cotton sheets elegant, wrinkles and all. Have you noticed how hard it is to find 100% cotton anything anymore? These are well made sheets with no skimping on size and with enough depth for a deeper mattress. There's something very clean looking about white sheets. These: No piling; no scratchiness; no feeling like your going to slide off of the bed; no feeling hot in bed. I am thrilled to have run into them.

Terrible sheets.....Before washing I had high hopes for these sheets...they were soft and although not very thick they were not bad given they were not expensive. After washing...a totally different story. They were so wrinkled I broke out the iron, but neither steam nor spritzing with water while using the highest setting possible on the iron got the wrinkles out of these sheets. They looked terrible and I couldn't use them for the guests arriving the next day. I went out and bought sheets at Kohls...
