Being that I have three taps on my kegerator, it was always a want to have one of them pouring nitro. Not just for stouts, but browns, wee heavys, etc. After a quick trip to my local brew shop for a nitro tap, and a cannister of beergas, I hooked this bad boy up to my gas, ran it through my tap, and off to the races! I had a hoppy brown already kegged, so I ran that through it, and although it doesn't pour as fast as a regular tap (I didn't expect it to) it makes the beer look fantastic! Beautiful creamy head, and even better mouthfeel! My wife, who normally doesn't like the hoppy styles, really enjoyed this one, as the sweetnees of the nitrogen balanced out the bitterness a bit. It's a great price on a regulator, and even though it does say "CO2" regulator somewhere in the instructions, it is actually a nitrogen regulator. You know, because the threads are reversed, so you don't actually hook it up to the wrong cannister.

A nicely made and beautifully finished nitrogen regulator. The gauges appears to be quality made, and has plastic protective housings. The pressure gauges on the regulator are vertically oriented, to have the gauge bezels easy to read. The regulation gauge goes to 100 psi which I imagine is the range of the regulator and the tank supply gauge goes to 3500 psi. On the output is a ball lock valve, with a flare fitting and you are provided with a 1/4 inch and 5/16 inch screw on barb fittings. Although the box says CO2 regulator, the product actually has a CGA 580 fitting with a high-pressure filter, which is dedicated for nitrogen tanks. The adjustment knob has a very fine thread to allow small incremental adjustments and pressure and a walking ring to keep it there.
