Eastern 50376 Direct Fit Catalytic Converter

I rated this 4 stars for only one reason it doesn't fit directly on the S-10 pickup trucks it is instead made to fit the S-10 blazer ,that said I was able to have a local muffler shop make a few bend adjustments and it now fits perfectly. This listing should be updated to insure that others know its not a direct fit for the S-10 pickup trucks . The pickup has the transmission crossmember in a different location and the rear floor pan design on the blazer means the the connection to the muffler is also wrong for the S-10 pickup. That said it was built well ,good quality construction, and is a bit larger in diameter than the original design.

I got a 03 chevy S10, I was driving on the interstate heading home about 75 miles out when my truck's automatic transmission wouldn't change out & I couldn't go over 55 mph. So, I pulled off the interstate into a truck stop thinking my tranny was shot. Check the fluid....all within levels, no burned smells, color look good. I waited about an hour decided to try to make it home. After three hours of driving 40 mph, made it in. Next day, took it to the tranny shop expecting the worst, the tech said the transmission was fine but my catalytic converter was clogged up and suggested replacing it....he said with the type I have & with the labor, it would cost over $1000....after some research, I found the Eastern direct fit "cat", it should fit my truck & it comes with all the hardware so I could do it myself (saving all that labor cost). After two and half hours, the cat was on & it fit perfectly. It been on for about an month, so far so good. If you know your Chevy/GMC needs a "cat", get the Eastern 50376 Direct Fit Catalytic Converter, you can't go wrong. Also, make sure to change the O2 sensors (3 total)....

Very well made tuff product , had to remove and replace install cross member , took all day but I’m 54 yrs old and not as flexible as when younger , it was a perfect fit , highly recommend . My power and gas mileage got way better .

I bought this but had to return after wasting a lot of time attempting to install. This DOES NOT fit a 2002 4WD, automatic transmission ext cab S-10 like amazon says it does. Refer to their p/n 50331.

ultimately this worked as intended. didn't quite fit as it came, i had to crush it slightly where the cross pipe sits under the trans to make room for it to connect to the exhaust manifold. not enough to restrict airflow or anything, but i couldn't hook it up otherwise. fixed my check engine light as intended. good for the price. this was on a 2003 s10 zr2 with the 4.3l v6.

System fit perfectly, no bending of any kind. All sensor locations were exactly like the old one. Made the job a lot easier. 2002 GMC Sonoma V6 crew cab

These cats fit perfect in the vehicle and were easier to install than the old ones were. This is a two piece unit which makes install super easy and convenient. Everything fit and sealed up perfectly!
