Branston Small Chunk Pickle Squeezy 350g

I really like Branston Pickle, sometimes I like the large chunk pickle, like if I am preparing a ploughman's lunch platter on a plate, and sometimes I prefer the small chunk pickle, like if I am spreading it on a sandwich with cheese or making buffet food, like small crackers, cheese spread or small slices of cheese and a dollop of pickle.This is the first time that I have used this product and I like the fact that it "stands on its head" as it means that the pickle spread will run down and not become stuck in the bottom of the bottle. The nozzle or neck of the bottle is large enough to avoid clogging, the plastic nozzle can be removed to scrape out any remaining pickle sauce too, the squeeze dispenses the sauce without difficulty and with mess, it does not run like a smooth sauce like ketchup or HP sauce.There is a pickle sauce from Branston which has an even finer cut of chunks than this one, like micro cubes, which I thought was the best for buffet snacks or sandwiches, I would recommend it for those, it may be called smooth, I'm not sure but this is great for all purpose foods/meals, I think the larger chunks are best for salads or ploughman's lunch platters.

Yes, I also have the regular but searched out this version to try. I find it much more pleasant to use on sandwiches than the big chunk version. Just wish it came in a regular jar instead of this silly one. After squeezing it on, then I have to use knife to spread it. Why not just skip the first step?Branston Pickle is my favorite food discovery of the last few years. Such a wonderful change from run-of-the-mill pickle relish. Once my very old pear tree stopped producing and I no longer could make pear relish that I used on sandwiches, with meats, and in potato salad, needed a replacement. This is it. Wish this product were less expensive though.

Small chunk pickle is the best version of branston. With the bigger chunk version the pieces are always falling off your sandwich. Small chunk stays where you put it and does not compromise the branston flavor. I always have some on hand.Make yourself a sandwich using this, some wholemeal bread and some very sharp cheddar. You will not regret it.

After two failed attempts to obtain a jar of Branston pickle online, the two jars arriving with lids loose and contents oozing out, I finally ordered the squeeze bottle instead-- and it arrived tightly closed and safe to try. This is my first experience with the product, and it is definitely different from American pickle relishes, but I wanted to try a British cheese and pickle sandwich, and I liked it!

Really, this is an unnecessary review for the pickle - either you like it or you don't.In terms of supplier - the pickle arrived on time and well packaged.I just realized in looking at the picture that the wrong item was shipped - I guess I ordered the squeezy bottle and what was shipped was the glass bottle (which might contain more, so no worries).
