Lower unit oil and pump.
This lower unit oil and pump was the greatest I’ve ever had of putting lower unit oil in my boat motor, I have ever had great quality great price.

The proper oil, and fittings make it pretty simple to fill.
This is THE proper lube for your lower unit on Mercury engines (mine is a 25hp, 2 stroke, mid 90's model). I wasn't super impressed with the pump mechanism, the plastic fitting did fit properly, however had to go through various gyrations to get the actual pump to push the oil up and into the lower unit, it didn't get great seal. maybe just a bad one.

Does not come with a pump.
The Good: Changing the fluid in the lower unit is a very easy DIY job. This can save you hundreds of dollars each year by doing it yourself. The Bad: You need a special pump to change the oil, and sometimes it comes with the gear lube. Unfortunately this product did not come with it. Luckily my neighbor had an extra one from changing the lube a different boat laying around and was able to use that. The Ugly: If you have to go get the pump, that could cost a few extra dollar but is just an extra nuisance. The pumps are interchangable but you just need to clean it between uses (DON'T MIX DIFFERENT OIL BRANDS)
