This camera is a beast. It feels robustly made and looks like the real deal. If anything, you’re going to get some benefit just from people seeing it and thinking twice about what they’re doing. In fact, that’s the main reason I got it. There’s been a rash of driveway break-ins where I live, and I suspect it’s just kids being dumb, So just having a big-ol’ camera visible ought to help.Overall, it’s a really nice camera, the picture is clear even in SD mode, and there is a noticeable improvement if you switch it to HD mode. Setup was a cinch using the WiFi/AP mode for me, and adding it to the CamHi software wasn’t a problem. The connection is stable through my home’s WiFi or away through my phone’s data. I was able to change the password immediately, but I didn’t see a way to change the default “admin” login to anything else.Installing it was simple (just 4 screws), and since I’d already connected it ahead of time, all I had to do was route and hide the cables from the installation. And that’s where one of the camera’s biggest drawbacks comes in. The camera comes with a power adaptor that has two wires. One is the AC plug and the other is the DC plug for the camera. Each of these wires is no more than 8-10 inches long. That’s a real problem because you have to wire a power source to end extremely close to the camera’s location, and if you’re placing the camera outside that’s just another layer of complexity dealing with water-rated outlets and GFCI protection. I’ll have to find a different power supply to more conveniently run power to the camera. If you’re interested, the power supply is 12V 3.0 Amp with a 5.5mm OD and 2.5mm ID positive center plug.The other thing that’s disappointing is that there are not PTZ controls in the mobile app. To move the camera, you’ve got to swipe your fingers on the screen in the direction you wish to move the camera and hope you have some degree of accuracy. On top of that, the response is painfully slow, but that’s not really the camera’s fault. I was able to use another app called tinyCam with the camera and the PTZ controls were much better and more responsive. Maybe the camera’s software will be updated soon.

The Good:1. Picture quality.2. Web interface and configuration options.3. App shows IP address and easy to use.4. Easy to add additional camera to the app.5. This camera has color night vision which is good for using as an outdoor security camera. It has 2 very bright lights when it is switched on.6. Metal casing.The bad:1. Very difficult to insert the memory card into the slot due to it's odd position - this is actually my biggest complaint about this camera.2. Lower cable is very short. You will need a 12v extension cable if no power outlet near by.3. Camera turns too fast when using app.4. On PC, only works with IE, not Chrome and Edge.Overall a very good HD camera for the price. I had tried a few others in the past year or so, the CamHi cameras are so far the best options, both indoor and outdoor cameras.

I received this camera and right away noticed the original UPC sticker was removed (sticky residue with obvious signs there was one located there originally). On the other side of the box there was a long sticker in the same place which did not fit in the box provided (obviously a replacement upc sticker). There was no little round clear plastic security sticker sealing the box shut. I opened the package and noticed nothing except the screws were sealed in plastic. The antenna was laying loose inside. It obviously was not a new product and had been a return. I decided to give it a try but noticed it would not work properly without their software. I tried my NVR which is ONVIF but I could not get the record function to work at all. The sound is horrid with a definite humming sound, no other cameras (I have 4 others with sound have this issue). I tried to return it today. I was two days past the 30 day return policy. My fault but I won't be recommending this product.

This camera is not a bad product but apparently it has a design flaw in that the power supply cord has to be extremely short. In fact, so short it pretty much renders the camera useless. I tried a long cord and the camera appears to keep resetting. I can't use the camera with such a short power cord.

I mean, I guess if you're on a budget and you need a camera, this might be the one for you when I hook them up they were okay wasn't too bad. I just don't like how the PTZ moves when you want to manually move it. Hopefully in the future you update your application to work better with the cameras.

I can't bieve how good it works for an inexpensive camera. I would recommend it. I will probably buy another one for more security coverage.

I bought it some time ago, it came in but instructions in Chinese seem much more complete than the English translation. I have not been able to install these (purchased 2). I called the Geek Squad to see if they would install them...but nope they won't touch them.
