Great book!

A must read for anyone beginning FEM. The examples are outstanding and illustrative. The instruction text is clear and concise. But get the hard copy for study, the Kindle is useless. For deeper understanding of the fundamentals suggest taking MOOC course offered by University of Michigan. Get the printed version not the kindle one

it is really a great text book. Really helpful and it is a good reference to new learners. I recommend this book.

Good book for home practice but not for knowledge gain

These books have been used (as long as I remember) for practicing problem solutions. Sometimes, the content is lacking, either in quantity or quality. This version has OK content. However, the paper has such poor quality that making notes in the margins is impossible. The quality goes for both the paper thickness and the acid content. I suppose these are not intended to be keepers? Just one-use items?

FEA is a dangerous weapon in the wrong hands. Read and know what you're doing before you buy that $10k software.
