Review: A great gift idea…Stunning book. - This book is beautiful and is a fantastic gift idea for the diver in your life. I do agree with other reviews.. it’s a great coffee table book.. but it’s also a great “bucket list” book for anyone in love with diving. I love that the list isn’t compiled of just the well known, tropical dive sites. There’s some very surprising ones in there, like an old Missile Silo for example. Personally, the quick facts at the header of each dive (including water temp, depth and dive type) is my favorite part, aside from the photos of courses. The book even feels nice in your hands (soft like velvet..matte) The cost is equivalent to what you’re buying in my opinion. It was THE perfect gift for someone who’s been absolutely impossible to shop for! I wrote a small note in it, and I know It’ll become a keepsake for sure. Review: A must have for ocean lovers - 100 Dives of a Lifetime is a breathtaking celebration of the underwater world that blends wanderlust, adventure, and environmental appreciation in a way only National Geographic can deliver. Authored by travel writer and diver Carrie Miller, this book curates a global bucket list of scuba dives that range from beginner-friendly coral gardens to extreme, remote sites for advanced divers. The standout feature of this book is, of course, the photography. Each dive site is paired with stunning visuals that transport you beneath the surface, capturing everything from vibrant reef ecosystems to hauntingly beautiful wrecks. It’s a visual feast that will make even landlocked readers dream of the ocean. But it’s not just eye candy. The book offers practical insights about each site—where it is, when to go, what you’ll see, what experience level is needed, and sometimes even conservation concerns. The inclusion of personal stories, quotes from pro divers, and geographic diversity makes this more than just a list—it feels like a journey through Earth’s greatest underwater treasures. What I especially appreciated is the balance. This isn’t just a list of the deepest or most extreme dives; it includes shallow snorkel sites, accessible locations for newer divers, and hidden gems off the beaten path. Whether you’re a seasoned diver planning your next trip, or a dreamer creating a future wish list, this book inspires and informs in equal measure.

Great gift for scuba diver
I bought this as a gift for my son who has taken up scuba diving and would like to explore different dive sites around the world. . I expected more of a coffee table book but it was somewhat smaller, but he said the information and pictures were great and just what he was looking for. National geographic is obviously a trusted name which sold me. (Size was listed in the description)

A fine book
A perfect gift for a recreational scuba diver who wants to travel the world and dive at spectacular locations. Beautiful photos. The dive locations are sorted by 3 difficulty levels. Beginner dives (e.g., Chios Island, Greece), Intermediate dives (e.g., Elphinstone Reef, Egypt) and Advanced dives (e.g., The Devil's Highway, Solomon Islands). ~400 pages, book size ~22 cm x 22 cm. Recommended!
