Lot spicier than I thought, but great taste

Good but not sure it's worth the extra expense
I used this harissa bc it was specifically called for in several recipes in Ottolenghi's latest cookbook, Simple. I'm not sure it's any better than the one easily available at Trader Joe's.

Use it quick
The taste is perfect. But after only a week in my refrigerator at the correct operating temperature, this product developed some truly weird, spiky mold. I threw it out. Which means I wound up paying full price for only a couple of tablespoons worth of harissa. Not worth it to me. However, if you can use an entire jar in only a few days, I recommend it.

Exactly what my chef son told me I needed to make a dish his hotel makes, Ajillo Shrimp with Roasted Harissa Pepper & Oil with Garlic Crostini.This jar contains a very good quality Harissa Peppers & Oil!

Sorry did not like. Very hot and Smokey, threw away
Did not like the harrissa which I threw away. Have not been able to find the true Tunisian harrissa anywhere. Had harrissa in Tunis and it was delightful and delicious. Everyone to his own taste. Loved the packaging and loved the wonderful diary for my granddaughter.
