--- Update --- After the first purchase I contacted Amazon's Customer Service to sort things out, as by Amazon's Baseline the standard return time frame of 14 days already have passed. Amazon was very helpful and fair in sorting out the refund and reimbursing me for the first purchase. Because generally I did not have a bad feeling for the product itself, so I reordered the product and gave it a second choice. I recieved the new helmet and behold - chinese manufactoring prevails! I recieved a way sturdier helmet this time, also with printed slogans (instead of flimsy stickers like before) and most importantly, with a working darkening function. Good price point, relatively good quality and delivers what it promised without any surprises beyond that. After I recieved my new helmet, I got contacted by the business directly via Amazon Messages with great efforts to apologize for the inconveniences and make their mistake right. I greatly appreciate the initiative and can, at least for my part, confirm my bad sample was a mistake and that the product itself, if not faulty, is quite an unbeatable piece for that price point. Honor where honor is due, my initial 1 star transformed to 5 stars. Great example of how to operate in such cases. --- original review after first purchase --- Very bad welding mask which does not work as advertised. Auto-Darkening will, no matter the settings and environment, only work for 1 sec and will go back to default. Might be broken battery or loose contact, which ultimatley does not matter, as you can not physically open the casette to have a look. In this condition the product is worthless. Flimsy plastic, low quality, flimsy headband, which would be okay considering the low price point IF core functionality is given (which it isn't). I am a novice at welding and wanted to use this helmet as a low budget starter. Father in law is/was professional welder who was also disappointed. Flashed eyes and complete waste of money which I can't even return due to small return window. My recommendation: invest 50 bucks on a semi-professional mask on discount (I was lucky and could grab a solid one for 50 instead of 100) This helmet to me personally does NOT qualify as a decent chinese product, which delivers good quality and good features at a good price point. In this case, unfortunatley it is just crap. Take care of your eyes, just not worth it.

My father-in-law recently used the Harukiku Automatic Welding Mask to weld a large metal gate, and after a full day of work, he was genuinely impressed with its performance. First off, the auto-darkening feature worked exactly as expected. The reaction time was fast and consistent, and the DIN4-9/13 range gave him enough flexibility for different lighting conditions throughout the day. One small downside: it’s a bit bulkier than some high-end models, but not so much that it got in the way or made things uncomfortable. For the price, it’s more than fair. Overall, for anyone doing serious welding work, this helmet holds up great under long, demanding tasks. My father-in-law gives it a solid thumbs up for reliability, visibility, and comfort.

I'm a novice welder, just starting out. This is my first welding helmet so I don't really know what to expect. It is easy to adjust and fits me well. I don't think it would be comfortable to wear for long periods, but then a professional would be spending a lot more for a helmet I would imagine and would be able to wear it all day. For the occasional repair job, this works just fine! I just needed protection for my face and eyes and this does it. Not super fancy, but it is adjustable and visibility is decent. As a first (likely only) helmet, I'm satisfied with it.
