You need this if you have an RO system
The plastic filter canister on my RO system completely failed. Not just a crack and leak....it blew completely apart. The entire housing (sans the top threaded end) was on the floor. Not just a leak....a gusher. It was a miracle I was home when it happened.Frankly I was terrified to fix or replace my RO system after seeing what can happen and thinking of what would have been had I not been home. I began looking for a solution and found this device. Simple to install, inexpensive, and effective. Bought this and a new filter canister for $27 total and I’m back in business with peace of mind.

Works as expected - easy peasy install. Already did it's job twice!!!
I installed a Reverse Osmosis Water filtration under a new sink install. I seem to have something leaking - I think my drain, but this has shut off the water twice and has operated exactly as expected and probably saved me from having a big mess. Totally worth the minimal cost for the peace of mind. The only Surprise was the cost of replacement cartridges is surprisingly more than I expected compared to the total cost of the valve which comes with 3 pads already. This cost compared to water damage under a sink is minimal though!!

Great replacement for an outdated shutoff valve
Easy install. I didn't need the instructions, but it was written very clearly for the DIY'ers. Just make sure you push the plastic pipe in tight. Replaced a old leak stop valve of an inferior design, like this much better as its an external switch which means that water won't come out when you are installing or replacing the filter.I 100% recommend this for anyone who has a RO system. Case in point: The piping, canisters filtration system are ALL made of plastic; I had a filter canister from 123filters rupture on me. Even though I was literally in the kitchen when it happened, it still leaked like 5-10 gallons into the sink and all over the kitchen. Had I been out of the house, it would have leaked hundreds, if not thousands of gallons and flooded the whole house.Happy with the purchase, now lets hope we will never need to put this one to the test.Note to seller: Put this on FBA and you will double your sales.

Looks good. Extra pads included.
Appears (hopefully) that it will do the job it's designed to do. Pretty straight forward. Price was right... Assuming it works if the time ever comes!

Easy to install, happy for the peace of mind
This was very easy to install and after hearing horror stories of water filters that start leaking, either after installation or after years of use, having this insurance is important to me. I wish it came with food and water safe tubing, but I just ordered extra tubing from the water filter company.

Works great!
Shuts off water by using expandable cotton pallets. When the cotton soaks up water, it will expand to shut off water. Reusable, resettable.

Peace of mind
Water to be so destructive. A few years back I had a water leak that did thousands of dollars damage. It always occurs when you are not home such as on vacation. This little shut off is so simple and gives me peace of mind when not home. The price is right , easy to install and seems sturdy enough to be reliable. Get one!

What do you got to lose?? A $10 part VS. hundreds or possibly thousands of $$ lost in H2O damage??
After installing my RO system I wasn’t content on all of the hose routing and there was a possibility to extend a new line to the fridge and Kuerig. After a couple of new connector orders and purchasing this shutoff valve I did complete the fridge extension, i also relocated my RO components and tank into the wasted lazy Susan area in the corner of my kitchen since my builder went the cheap route and didn’t install any decent cabinet add-ones to utilize this corner and the real estate under my sink was worth more to me. Then I jailbroke my Kuerig 2.0 internal electronics (magnet removal & green wire pulled from harness connector) and added a 3/8” T connector to the fridge waterline to the Keurig's water basin (1st mod) and in the future I am still planning an auto shut off valve feature after I do some more homework and my final planned change was To upgrad all my lines going out from 1/4” to 3/8” for maximum flow where possible. This leak shut off valve was more of an impulse buy at the time but it already has paid for itself because of my ignorance of getting in a rush and forgetting to reinspect my changes on one occasion and two days later I was bewildered of why I had no water pressure coming from the RO faucet sink faucet. I looked under the sink and this unit had triggered and had the incoming water shut down not far from the water source under my kitchen sink. This unit did its job as expected so the clean up was at a minimum instead of a real disaster. After cleaning up I used some synthetic lubrications on the moving plastic parts to make sure no water scale could seize up the mechanics since the water here is so nasty. I hope this helps...sorry for the long story!
