Practice makes poifect!
By doing all of these simple exercises each and every day, my technique went from PDQ Bach to Rachmaninov in just a few weeks!

Fantastic Value.
Vol 1 consists of the 1826 exercises, 1837 and 1851 transcendental etudes. Both versions: fantastic. Hard to believe the 1851 version is the "simplified" one. Busoni surely added a lot of editorial phrasing and dynamics but fingering? Virtually none. You're on your own for fingering, which is the way it should be since your hands are like no other. The ink is good, the print is good, the paper is light and at 8.5x11 the layout is compact. The binding is tight so a challenge to keep open. "Mazeppa" is in really tiny print. When I get to that one I will need a different edition. If you are a professional, you absolutely should examine this Busoni edition however you will want to get a competition sanctioned scholarly edition elsewhere. 255 pages of music. Few will ever play all these etudes but many, like me, still want to dabble in them. This is perfect for that.

It is a good book for the price, but not the best.
This edition is good for the price. It has all the Transcendental Etudes, and Paganini Etudes & Concert Etudes in two volumes. The first has a large number of studies, which is good, but I personally would not use it as a study book but as consultation, because it is not very spacious, has very little fingering, and printing could be better. As I said above is that, my personal purpose was to use it as a reference book, that's why I'm happy with this book, and even more for the price I paid for it. If you want a book of "Transcendental Etudes" to study, I suggest you get a better book edition.

Liszt Etudes
Good binding, clear printing, and of course, it's complete......but who can actually PLAY it ): ?A lot of his earlier works are very approachable, but the Transcendental Etudes aren't recognised as the most difficult piano pieces ever written for no reason!

Excelente libro
Buena calidad del libro a muy buen precio. Perfecto para los virtuosos del piano o para los que quieran llegar a ser uno. Advertencia: este libro te romperá la cabeza de lo que creías difícil en el piano

One major flaw...
I will once again state my problem with the Dover Edition of the 2nd Etudes Book (Paganini Studies)IT DOES NOT LAY FLAT.The notation is clear and the aesthetic of any Dover Edition book is always objectively gorgeous, but I cannot get over the fact that this book is advertised to having a "lay-flat" binding that stays flat during practice, and yet it cannot stay open for more than a minute.I do recommend this book as it is one of the best editions to get for the price. If you can step up into something pricier, I would recommend the Henle instead. (Helpful notes from the Editor)
