Not what I thought it was was hard to use cooking a prime rib

Temperature reading is at least 30 degrees high in chicken and beef. I don't have another thermometer to compare. That's what I bought this for. Reads ambient temperature too low. It's virtually useless.

I recently purchased this thermometer and have been very happy with my purchase. It works well, the backlight display is bright for when I'm grilling at night.which gives it a high end feel,I like it, choose to recommend it.
