Red Kap Men's Industrial Work Shirt

I picked up this Red Kap work shirt in gray for my maintenance job, and after wearing it on the job, it’s clear this is built more for function and durability than casual wear. The fabric has a sturdy, slightly heavier feel right out of the package. It’s not soft like a typical button-up, but that’s actually a benefit in a work environment. It holds up well against dirt, dust, and general wear, and the gray color does a great job of hiding stains and grease marks throughout the day — which is a big plus when you’re moving between tasks and don’t always have time to stay spotless. Fit is true to size but intentionally roomy. There’s enough space through the shoulders and chest to move freely, reach overhead, and work without feeling restricted. It doesn’t ride up or bind when bending or twisting, which matters more than style when you’re working all day. One of the standout features is how easy it is to maintain. After washing, it comes out looking presentable without needing ironing. The wrinkle-resistant fabric holds its shape, and stains don’t seem to set as easily as they do on regular cotton shirts. That alone makes it practical for daily rotation. The chest pockets are also useful — especially the pencil slot — which comes in handy more often than expected in a maintenance setting. A couple things to keep in mind: the material can feel a bit warm if you’re working in high heat for extended periods, and it starts off slightly stiff. It does break in some after a few washes, but it’s never going to feel like a soft casual shirt. Overall, this is a solid, no-nonsense work shirt that does exactly what it’s supposed to do. It’s durable, easy to clean, and built for real job conditions. If you need something reliable for maintenance or hands-on work, this fits the bill.

True to fit on size they’re great for working man machine washable look nice on my husband. Color stays vibrant very comfortable to wear. They’re a loose fit and very soft. There’s no shrinkage. They don’t have too much stretchiness to them and their durability is great. He works on cars underneath the cars crawling around on the floor under the cars highly recommend them.last for years

These are rigid sense they are work shirts so might consider going up one size. Especially if you are a "sometimes fits" great quality just a little snug.

I really like these work shirts. No pocket flap to hassle with. The collar keeps its shape after several washes even without hanging up right away. Fabric has a little stretch, not quite as much as standard Dickies shirts, but a comfortable amount. Sizing is about the same as Dickies. I bought 5 different brands of work shirt to try out around this price point, and this is my pick.

High quality. Runs larger than normal. I would go down a size.

Pros: 2XL good fit, two chest pockets with allowance for pens. Good length. Nice color. Wrinkle free after wash and dry. Cons: biggest issue is the material gives a scratchy feel, hopefully will improve after a couple of washings. Definitely not a comfortable cotton.

I love the shirt , I've bought articles of clothing from the red kap brand before and they never disappoint. They fit true to size and are very durable clothing , I've tried other brand clothes for work and none of them hold up like red kap , I highly recommend their products and will most definitely buy more from them in the future !!!

Panels under the right arm appear to have not been aligned properly prior to stitching, in the photo you can see that the edges of the panels start diverging near my pinky finger and are barely hanging one by a few threads by my index finger, and then below that is where the seam popped. It is similar on the other side of the popped section. I bought a few of this brand of shirt at the same time, I haven't checked them all, yet, I will be checking the rest this weekend. This is likely a once of issue, but could also speak to a QA issue.
