Minimalist classic elegance at a good price
Movado has long been known as the dress watch with the Dada-esque, minimalist design (no second hand, no marker except at 12:00, black face and accents). But to me they've always seemed overpriced, and I've always loved Citizen's solar-power technology, which eliminates having to service your watch for pretty much its whole life. Plus, in my experience Citizen has always been reliable and a good value. So when I saw this Axiom Chronograph on sale I thought I'd try it out. I'm very happy with the result. The watch is thin and light-weight, easy to read (your eyes don't need all the hour and minute markers to judge the time correctly to within a minute or two) and the Dada aesthetic is cool and appropriate for wearing at art-related social events, like singles' night at the Museum of Modern Art with my Hugo Boss blazer, Ben Sherman shirt, special edition Fred Perry trousers, Clarks' Desert Boots and Depeche Mode haircut. Holding my champagne glass in the left hand will show off the watch nicely, and if a woman comments on it she's demonstrating that she's probably a cut above the rest, at least in my book, and worth talking to. Great time piece
If you are looking for a watch for yourself or a gift you cannot go wrong. No winding, no more batteries from the sunlight to a night light is all it takes to power it up. I received one as a gift 4 years ago never loses or gains a second the only time I touch the stem it at daylight savings time. There are many styles to chose from. Automatics we’re my favorites and I do like them but the citizen is awesome.

Love this watch. It looks great on the job or on the town, in a board room or in a back room, on your wrist or on your partner’s nightstand. The size is just right, the black watch face stands out, and the simple elegance brings class without sacrificing character.Contrary to their advertising, it has died once or twice when I’ve left it in a drawer, but it charges quickly enough in the light.

I bought this as an anniversary gift for my boyfriend
I really liked how minimalistic this watch is. I thought it would look nice to dress up or down. My boyfriend is thrilled and absolutely loves it. Adjusting the bracelet to fit is a little difficult if not using the correct tools. No instructions but not a big deal considering it’s a solar powered watch. I’m guessing just saving paper? Anyways after looking up the instructions on citizens website we got the watch charged. It looks great! My only complaint is the authenticity was questionable since it was a different box than pictured and it’s also a little fast telling the time. Overall a great watch for the price when it was on sale. My boyfriend loves it and he’s far less critical of it his opinion is it’s a five star watch.

My new favorite watch
Beautiful, beautiful watch! I originally bought this so I didn't have to beat on my Seiko everyday, but never intended it to be a "daily" simply because of how dressy it looks.Well, it is now my daily watch.The only fault I can find for this watch is setting the time. Obviously with a blank face, you will have some difficulties accurately setting the time unless you are setting it at :00 minutes. Minor annoyance, but definitely not big enough to make me think twice.Not only is this a handsome watch, but it's difficult to beat such a price, especially for a Citizen. Eco-Drive is always great, making the watch virtually maintenance-free. As an added bonus, this watch is incredibly comfortable. Because I've been blessed with the gift of hairy arms, my Seiko doesn't hesitate to rip the poor follicles out of my wrist. This watch does NOT do that at all!Attractive face, Eco-Drive, hair-friendly--this watch is an all-around win!

Quality product without a heavy price point
This is a great watch. It is not oversized or undersized. It is a minimalist much like a Movado or very similar. The band is quality and has a great positive snap when clasping it closed. The casing itself is solid as well. The face of the watch definitely shows any smudge and I find myself constantly cleaning it. Black face with glass, what can you expect. Over all it is a 5 outta 5. It is not a watch for every occasion, but will dress up nicely or fit the casual lifestyle.
