Leaf Jumpers

Teaches a few different types of leaves... none of which we see in SoCal. So ended up not being overly helpful for us.

I read this book to a class of preschool children. They enjoyed it and were eager to share about times they've enjoyed playing in leaves. The illustrations are all in fall colors. The last page of the book includes individual photos of the leaves used in the book along with the names of the leaves. This page also explains why leaves turn colors. The same dog appears on some of the pages.

This book has nice large illustrations of various types of leaves. There is a very cute dog that appears in many of the pictures as well. The text is fairly readable as well. The last page contains some information about why leaves change colors. I think it is appropriate for preschoolers and younger elementary school grades.

If a child struggles with the power of adjectives or the writing skill of designing his or her writing piece vividly create a visual picture in the reader's mind, this book is a powerful tool. After I read it to my class aloud, in a small group center, I had them re-read and capture key words and/or phrases the author used to create a mental picture.

Very sweet book - has lots of engaging and colorful pictures. Makes leaf identification easy and fun for kids!

Bought this for my four year old granddaughter and had it sent. Understand she loves the book.

Once again bought a book after reading a review and not disappointed. Beautiful colours, lovely book. Not disappointed. Good for my grandchildren as well as my child minding business.

Not happy with this at all not what I thought. It was for my Grandaughters Birthday.

love the art, love the teaching about leaf identification and the fun for toddlers. got this for my 16 month old but he misses the leaf id part I think- will do better with it next fall when he's 2.5 years. strongly recommend. there's also a Spring and Winter book but they're sadly not sold as board books and my toddler rips pages otherwise- would love those in board book
