My youngest daughter (age 10) is so into these books. She loves to make different choices within the books to see the various outcomes.

I really don’t think this author has ever been to Alaska, nor understands what it means to live in a rural area and be self-supporting. Many of the choices in the Alaska journey just had outcomes/scenarios that defied belief.The other two stories were a bit more interesting and with many more plausible outcomes.

Looked at this as a possible supplement to our earth science unit. I liked the connections to major earthquakes in different parts of the world. Would've liked a bit more information on why they happen.
