I am very pleased with this item. It seems to be well constructed should last a long while. Perfect for using with Christmas tree ( it's intended use I imagine ).I do wish however that the actual switch was closer to the extension cord "outlet connections" instead of the plug ( from plug to switch is 32" ); as this cord will be used elsewhere while I purchase just a foot switch and wired it to my exact needs.

I bought 2 of these, they seem to work fine but one of the foot switches reacted funny when I stepped on it and didn't click. Instead when I stepped on it again it sent a surge of power to the lamp I had it plugged into blowing the lightbulb. The other one works perfectly fine. Be careful that you don't hook these up to anything expensive.

Besides XMAS lighting, needs white, black, tan, and other colors. I use with a non-stop aquarium filter to add a switch.

Does what we wanted it to do, make it easy for my 90 year old mother to turn on a light.

Unfortunately I did not find this until Christmas was almost over but will have to start out with next year. Had one years ago and have no idea what happened to it. This is just great so a timer isn't needed.

I love this, I use it mainly around the holidays for the Xmas tree. Instead of struggling to connect it back in behind the presents and all, I use this and I can tuck it away down low or up on a table.!!!!!!

Nice and sturdy, good color to disappear on the floor. Our old one broke (bought at Walmart and lasted several years) and I was determined to replace it because it's just so handy. No crawling down to a socket to plug and unplug the lights.

Convient for Christmas lights.
