I really should learn to read the bad reviews
I would give this 0 stars. The transfer speeds are bad. They are not even USB 3.2 speeds no matter which port (USB-C or USB 3). This hub caused my PC to hang during bootup and I'm sure it doesn't even utilize the power supply it comes with. I've had to revert back to my old Atolla powered USB 3.0 hub. This was a waste of my £84. Do yourself a service and DO NOT BUY!!!

Works perfectly. After power cycling, retains memory of which slots were switched on.

Does not have PD "power delivery" despite being mains connected
Decent number of ports, on/off button for each port. Does not charge a phone via power delivery despite being mains connected, output voltage is around 3.90V at 1.3mA via usb-c to usb-c. In my situation my computer has to be turned on before allowing a phone to charge.

Didn’t know I needed a new paperweight.
Only managed to get one port to connect to my drives. What a waste of money, as I ordered it a month ago and have only just used it. Can’t even return it now. Absolutely fuming.

Exactly what I wanted.
Very good quality, many ports, small footprint. Exactly what I needed. It's not cheap, but it's not nasty, either. You won't need to buy it twice. I've got redundant ports in my photographic studio, which is a first!

Powered high-speed USB hub.
This powered hub works really well. That each port can be switched on or off individually was not one of my requirements, but it’s certainly a good thing, and a little blue LED next to each port lights up to show when it’s turned on. The sheer number of ports is the extreme advantage with this device, together with the fact that eight of them are USB-C and eight are USB-A. This makes it easy to have both older and newer USB devices attached on the desktop via a single hub. If I should need more USB connections, I will get another one of these. This is the best and most useful USB hub I have ever had the pleasure of using.
