Lots of great music from a musician who left us to early.The version of "Nothing Compares 2U" is worth the price of this disc. I am writing this review with tears in my eyes thinking about the amazing music we could have got from Mr. Cornell.This is an amazing CD.Hope you enjoy this CD, Lots of great songs.

I wanted something that doesn't come up short but hits every aspect of Chris Cornell's career, his bands and his live covers with other artist and their stuff. Skip on the one cd sampler and go all out. One won't be disappoint, this is great.

The build on this set is beautiful. Die cut belly band, awesome individual CD covers and booklet. So happy I bought this. Beyond the amazing music on this album, I will treat this physical CD compilation as the artwork that it is.

My only compliant is the limited number of songs, but it does illustrate what a talent he was. From front man of one of Seattle's heaviest, no holds barred, right in your face, band Soundgarden to his progression into unfamiliar territory, as a solo acoustic artist. No one will ever match his voice. No one can sing like him. No one ever will. The only reason this fine collection exists is because of the shortness of his life.The packaging is fantastic as well. The size of the box, The partial slip case hiding half of his face, one side a forest, the other a Seattle sky line, perfectly encapsalizes his talent from beginning to end. The CDs matching his influence and talent are separated nicely by the choice of the tracks selected for each CD in there own slip cases are nicely covered by a single image from his periods in his storied career. You want to put this on a shelf to display it, not hide it in a collection of the standard CDs you've collected. It deserves being displayed.

I really wish I could give it a four and a half . This is great collection that definitely shows off Chris Cornell's versatility as an artist. In this collection he grows from the banchee screaming grunge singer of Soundgarden to the bluesy rock of Temple of the dog to the monster that was audioslave and all threw the vastly different rock and pop of his solo career. The low point of the collection for me is the two songs from the scream album which I guess no one liked. I see why they felt they needed to include the songs just as a part of who he was but I didn't feel they needed two from that album. Also I did not care for the song Lies but it just wasn't my taste . Highlights other than his obvious massive hits include his multiple soundtrack songs which are all pretty amazing in different ways. The live tracks are nothing short of incredible. I like having all these random songs that I've had here and there over rthe years on one album.there was definitely new stuff I had not heard and I love the last few songs he recorded such as the promise, til the sun comes back around,and the final solo song when bad does good. I thought the version of whole lotta love with Chris and Santana was great. I love the live song with his daughter she is truly talented. I'm glad this set was released.i love it and it just breaks my heart that Chris had to die for us to get something like this. His memory and voice will never die . I'm glad I have this album but it's a sad reminder that's this is truly the end of Chris Cornell's music,barring the release of a final pieced together Soundgarden album.

My Xmas gift to myset. I am currently finishing a complete listening cycle. A re-awakening of my vinyl and cd collection on a personally inspiring artist. This is one of the most thought-out, meticulous, intended sequencing, purposeful collection I have heard on any artist or band. My pint glass is full and ears finely tuned. Someone deeply cared putting this together. I am grateful for that effort.

Di tutto, in ordine cronologico: Soundgarden, dischi solisti, estratti dai lavori con gli Audioslave e dalla reunion dei Temple of The Dog, nonché - i vari pezzi sparsi qua e là, a partire da quello scritto e inciso per "Casino Royale", di James Bond, "You Know My Name".Ahinoi, ci sono anche un paio di pezzi del periodo di "Scream", l'album dance prodotto da Timbaland ("Talento sprecato", ne scrivemmo al tempo): il remix di Steve Aoki di "Part of me" è, se possibile, ancora più brutto dei pezzi del disco. Tra le varie chicche c'è pure "Lies", che Cornell incise con il collettivo italiano Gabin nel 2010.11 gli inediti, a partire da "When bad does good", canzone usata comne singolo. Sono presenti "Reach down" e "Stargazer" (cover dei Mother Love Bone) tratte dal concerto a Seattle del tour della reunion dei Temple of Dog, "Hey baby (Land of the new rising sun)", che Cornell incise insieme ai M.A.C.C. (progetto formato insieme a McCready, Ament e Cameron) per un disco tributo a Jimi Hendrix e un duetto con Cat Stevens/Yusuf Islam su "Wild world".Mancano inevitabilmente molte cose - ne facciamo notare una, una soltanto: "Fell on black days" da "Superunknown", canzone centrale della produzione dei Soundgarden, che Cornell ha praticamente sempre cantato dal vivo."When bad does good", l'inedito centrale: paerte voce e organo, con l'acustica che si unisce, poi entra la batteria. Un'interpretatazione vocale da brividi, perfetta. Una gran canzone che lascia intuire cosa avrebbe ancora potuto fare."Chris Cornell" cerca di mettere d'accordo tutti: i fan, offrendo una raccolta con brani inediti e rarità; e l'ascoltatore casuale, che può avere un'immagine completa della "legacy" di questa voce, che ne ha fatte veramente di ogni colore.
