Ceramic E17 LED Bulb for Microwave Oven Appliance, 4W (40W Halogen Bulb Equivalent), Daylight White 6000K, Pack of 2

Installed this in my Whirlpool microwave (not in the interior, but for the downlight). The original Whirlpool incandescent bulbs are short bulbs mounted in a way that makes it impossible to fit standard/generic replacements (without a little tinkering / re-engineering, but that's a little project in itself), and the Whirlpool bulbs last some months before burning out. (As a side note: seriously, seems a bit of a scam, the way they mount the bulbs in a way that requires a short bulb, although there is plenty of space in there length-wise, forcing you to buy the short-lived and over-priced Whirlpool replacements. And a buyer of that microwave will have no idea of this, until one fine day when the original bulb gives out).So, this LED bulb makes an easy, workable substitute. These LEDs are short enough to fit. They work fine on the HIGH setting, but flicker slightly on the LOW setting -- so consider them non-dimmable. My first LED lasted almost exactly a year before calling it quits. Luckily these came as a two-pack, so I've just installed the second one. I was hoping to get more than one year out of the first, but, to give the LED bulb some credit, it is mounted right above the stove (with a glass shield to block some of the heat), and heat is not good for LED bulbs. I still expected better from the LED, but I think a year is better than the original incandescent bulb, and I'm happy not to buy any more of the Whirlpool bulbs.Lastly, the bulb puts out decent light (not super bright, but it does the job) and the color is a warm white, as expected.

I was motivated to replace the original bulb in my LG microwave because it is such a pathetic light for the cooktop surface. The original bulb was a 30 W halogen and I hoped that buying an LED that supposedly replaced a 40 W halogen would make a significant improvement. In that aspect I was disappointed because it did not make a noticeable improvement in the light at the stove. On the other hand, it is very energy efficient and I will probably never have to replace it in the lifetime of the microwave, and it does better match my LED counter lighting.I don't recommend buying it to increase the light from the microwave, but I don't think I will send mine back.

Got these to use in the light that shines down on the stove from the overhead microwave. When I initially pulled them out of the box they were way smaller than the light bulb I was replacing, yet the bulb screwed into the socket, so pleasantly surprised. I will say it, I thought it would a bit brighter than the previous bulb, but is pretty much the same as the old incandescent bulb. And now I will see how long they last.

A great replacement for the high intensity bulb on my desk lamp. Previous bulbs got very hot and were dangerous when left on. This bulb fits great. It is very small... about the size of a aaa battery with a S type base.

I'm going to give these a 5 because they came in on time, they worked in the microwave but not as long as the bulb we should have bought would last. They were bright. In our microwave, they would not allow us to shut them off, a quirk of our microwave, not the bulbs, so they were "on" all the time. We had off, dim, and bright, but when you hit OFF, it was just a bit dimmer than the lower setting. It was like having a nice nightlight in the kitchen. Highly recommend you check your microwave or other appliance specs before purchasing. We didn't know why they stayed on all the time until after we got them and then had to do some research.

Not as "blue" as other "daylight" bulbs. Works great in the microwave over the stovetop....4 watts usage for 40 watts output and I can leave it on 24/7/52 for the next 12 years and not worry about it. Fit perfect, as the entire unit is the same size as the base.Could not find ONE bulb, so I bought the 2 pack, and have a bulb laying around that I will not need to replace for 12 years. :-(

On first use these only worked well on the high setting on my microwave, with a noticeable flicker when on low. Over time, there became even a slight flicker on high. After around a year I noticed one of the bulbs was getting a lot dimmer, with only a half of the LEDs lighting up, and then not all the way. The other was dimmer too. After another few months, one has completely failed and the other with only a couple of LEDs still working and them dimly. Not sure what to try next, but these are not worth it.

Works well. I only have 2 settings on microwave. Both lights on or 1 light on. No dimming. So these lights are perfect. Hopefully they last a very long time!

It is white light just not as bright as I wanted. Before you buy just check 350 lumens is what you are looking for.

Not as bright as expected. Similar to an incandescent bulb for brightness.Doesn't get hot when on, this is what i was looking for.

What can I say .. There light bulbs . I bought them because conventional bulbs keep burning out and I hopped these will last longer .as for brightness I think they are about the same as conventional bulbs

Only one of the bulbs worked .... the other bulb was dead on arrival.There was no evidence of any damage to the bulb or the packaging ... it was just DOA.

One out of 2 was half burnt out of the box!
