AROMA® Housewares 1.0 L / 4-cup Gooseneck Electric Kettle (AWK-210SB)

Someone took time in engineering this kettle. It's elegantly designed, made of beautiful stainless steel, and is simple to operate. Water heats to a boil in about five minutes, and the gooseneck spout works well for pour over coffee brewing. I had been enjoying an Aroma 1.7 litre electric kettle with a regular pour spout, so I was counting on Aroma to come through with just the right gooseneck kettle, and they did! Other reviewers mentioned a tight-fitting lid, but I find that it's perfect. Snug enough to prevent it from slipping off while pouring, yet easy to remove for filling. Don't hesitate to choose this inexpensive kettle over more expensive brands. It's a great value.

This electronic kettle is made of quality stainless steel. The design is elegant with a gooseneck to pour water out. The lid is tight so it appears somewhat inconvenient to refill water - you need to twist the lid and force it in or out. Other than that, it does the work well. Fast to boil hot water for coffee or tea. If you buy a ceramic filter to go with it, then it makes the set more complete. Not the most energy efficient but it boils pretty fast. Overall it is a quality product.

This is a good kettle and you can get your boiling water ready in a few minutes. Especially I like the materials. Not any smell at all when the body of the kettle is still hot. But I have one concern. The lid of the kettle is a little bit tight and hard to open. This might make it dangerous to refill the water when the body is still hot. Hope this weakness will be improved...

This kettle is great overall. I love it, for what it is: small, elegant, no plastic parts, easy to clean, simple kettle. No adjustable thermostat, no 'keep warm' feature...just an i/o switch that automatically shuts off when the water boils. There is no window to check the liquid height. However, I still give it 5 stars. It is very lightweight and heats the water very quickly.

Boils water fast. Lovely design with gooseneck precision pouring . Open handle makes it easy to grip and keeps hand away from hot side of kettle. This lid is ultra tight fitting and will not fall out when pouring. Opening is just large enough that I can get my hand in to clean which is a plus.

Worked fine for a little under two years, but recently it started leaking at the bottom seam. This has made it not only useless but also dangerous, since water seeps under the kettle near the electric heating element.

I've had this for a few months now and I think it's decent but not great. It's fine for boiling water but not great for pour over coffee. The spout while narrow is not narrow or precise enough. Also the handle broke off a month ago (it was easy enough to screw it back in however). The lid is a bit challenging to take off (not impossible but you always have to pull EXTRA hard and jiggle it around a bit). What I like - boils water relatively quickly, simple design (would like it better if it didn't have AROMA emblazoned on the front), compact size and while the handle did fall off, it is a nice handle that feels good in the hand.

This cute kettle boils super fast. It's easy to use and clean. It shuts itself off when the water boils. The cord is attached to the base, so I can take the kettle off the base after the water boils without having to drag a cord with me. And the handle won't get hot. I love it.

Un excelente producto en general, fácil de usar y rendimiento óptimo, hierve el agua muy rápidamente y es muy controlable la forma de servir el agua caliente

Hermoso kettle, bonitos acabados, calidad media alta. Pros: - Gran capacidad 1l. - Mango agradable al tacto. - Gran control de vertido. - Base con acabados de metal. - Led de luz azul, con switch automático. - Excelente relación costo beneficio. Contras: Ninguna con relevancia, solo que es de 1000w me hubiese gustado que fuese de 1500w. Es un poco lento, en mi caso tarda en hervir 1l en 5:30. En general es una excelente herramienta para elaborar café por vertido, su diseño es bonito, sí eres barista o amante del café de especialidad debes comprarlo.

I received the product on time and the quality looked great, solid metal pieces with a nice base. The lid fits nice and snug. Upon filling it up with water I noticed that the bottom area of the kettle near the plastic base (underneath the switch) was leaking slowly. With the water still inside I ever so slightly tilted the kettle towards the side with the switch and lo and behold the water started to leak out faster. Although I like the product very much, I'll have to find an alternative. If you receive this product, please make sure to do my leak test: - Fill it up to the max line - Clean the bottom with a napkin so it is dry - Hold the kettle in your hands and slightly tilt it towards all sides slowly, in a circular motion. - If you see any water start to develop on the bottom, it is not sealed properly and will continue to leak I really hope the manufacturer can resolve this issue, because otherwise it's an awesome kettle. One more point I wanted to mention is that 99% of the water is in contact with stainless steel at all times. The lid has a plastic bit, a few millimetres in radius, and it is exposed on the lid. In that case steam could touch the plastic bit and drop down. If you need a 100% water contact with metal only, you'll have to look for something else.

i don't like the lid because you have to push it down hard and use force to take it off over all it's not my favorite but i have kept it since i don't use it much anyways
